Do you really mean 250GB and not MB? That's quite hefty usage.

Virgin Mobile "Freestyle tariff" - £8 a month, 12 month contract, 1000 minutes, unlimited texts, 500 MB data.

The cheaper Three tariffs only go up to 600 inclusive minutes.

People, seriously, stop recommending Virgin, they're bad.

Tesco, Three or EE are the best choices IMO.

Why on earth should Virgin not get a mention here? The OP was very clear in saying they're looking for the cheapest deal on any provider. They're also clear in saying they don't want much data - in which case the 3.5GB 'fair use' cap that I think Virgin Mobile still has (after which you still get data but only slowly) is irrelevant.

A friend is on Virgin, and has no particular problems in terms of coverage, call connections or dropped calls, sending or receiving texts or data for email (they're a light data user). I don't know if Virgin users get a lower priority than EE punters on the EE network, but if they do it doesn't seem apparent to them - I guess it might if they wanted lots of fast data.

I've seen a SIM only advertised in several EE shops for £12.99/m 2GB data with unlimited mins&texts which I thought seemed OK.
