Actually felt sorry for Perez during the interview. He made a good point about how he was doing the same thing Hopkins does.

What Perez lacks is self-discipline and the ability to rein things in when he goes off-tangent, which increasingly became a daily ocurrence.

Nothing from Emma on the "fun game" Hopkins instigated to isolate him.

If it's true he had to self-medicate it makes me think he was doing this before he went into the house and how he must've struggled at the beginning.

Watching this interview tonight I feel some disgust that this passes for entertainment. Kavanagh with his drink problem. Pricey recovering from reconstructing her breasts. Michelle, an ally, that gave no support to a gay who was clearly having problems surviving being in that scene. Just because he could sign the contract doesn't mean he understood that he might not have been in the best state to go in there. I could go on.

Ban this show.

benj, I think Perez has pulled the wool over everyones eyes.

I don't know. What's your theory? I moved from being someone who couldn't stand The Perez Show to observing how Hopkins and Perez were mirror images of each other. I don't think Emma, from this interview, had the subtlety to coax that out of Perez. A shame really given how a show like this has the capacity to affect cultural attitudes. But maybe that's the point of Emma? Maintaining the status quo?
