Im officially switching off now, i very nearly quit watching BB for good when Gary Busey was bullied by scumbags in the house

The whole concept of BB has gone out of the window and turned into trashy newspaper contrived drivel

I feel its disgusting how they used and abused him to boost ratings

I had hoped that that survey they did meant that they were finally willing to listen to the fans, but i am seeing nothing different about the show at all.

The show has been butchered since the move to channel 5.”

I agree completely. I will still watch the show but these days I see it more as a summer soap opera than an actual reality show.

I hope this show is finally put out of it's misery now. It bears no resemblance to the BB I've watched since series one. Bullies being cheered and winning, constant outside information being fed to HMs and dodgy tactics from producers.

Social media campaigns now control who wins, not the ordinary joe BB fan any more.

He knew the guys name, it's odd that a producer would have just said his name whilst in a conversation in the DR trying to get him to stay. By knowing his name, one would think they actually had a face to face meeting, where he also said "this is the highest rated BB on Ch5, it's the Perez show, you must stay".”

Perez said the producer was outside the diary room when he came out asking him to stay.

My comments here are never that passionate nowadays as I really do believe the Producers decide the outcome in the end not the public since Live Feed finished. If 24 hour LF came back I may invest more energy into the show again as that may restore my faith again”

Yep ,this about sums it up I only ever voted in BB2 and have never voted since nor ever would again or any other 'reality' show

I thought everyone knew it was made-up shite now-a days ,

I thought that too - I think Alex was more expendable than Perez. They didn't show him in the diary room asking to leave - my guess is they agreed to pay him his fee if he left. They didn't want to risk a serious blow up where they might have had to eject Perez.

Rylan must feel a little embarrassed for saying "go on then" to Perez' "Do you want to know the actual truth?". Looking on Twitter, I can see a bunch of BB fan websites have closed down due to what was revealed, and a lot of people are not happy.

Oh dear! I knew Perez would have been convinced to stay, but never knew that it would actually be confirmed.

Also, here's a question... when Perez said this, we heard a lot of boos from people. Was it just me or have a feeling that some of them didn't come from the audience, I have a feeling that came from behind the scenes? There will be a lot of people in trouble tonight.”

I think the booing sounded like a warm-up man encouraging the audience to boo. The BOTS audience rarely ever boo, let alone during a one-to-one interview that doesn't involve them. It seemed rather fishy

He said the producers told him he had to stay as it was "the Perez show" - I don't really believe they said that.”

Even if they didn't use those actual words, I can believe that they hinted very strongly at it, in a bid to make him stay. Perez probably thought he was famous and admired world wide, and his ego wouldn't allow him to turn his back on that possibility.

I read last week that he had asked the producers for more money if he stayed rather than walking, so pardon me if I'm cynical about his real motives. The producers must rub their hands with glee when they snare a HM like Perez whose ego is the size of Wales.

It strikes me that Perez thought he was using the show to further his career and popularity, while the producers were using him to up their ratings. Now at least they each know that the other knows!

Because he had an hour between shows when anyone could have told him anything. We know that the panel had spoken to both evictees during the hour long break as they said so.

This is pretty much my biggest problems with the show. It's gone to s**t.

Alex had gigs booked last weekend. Why is this being ignored? He wanted out - he was an angry man - he was bringing nothing to the show.

Exactly what I was thinking.....why so much drama? Did people really believe that they wouldn't try to persuade a big housemate to stay?

Given the distorted picture they can portray with the highlights, I really don't see what's controversial about persuading him to stay! They need big characters, for high ratings, so they can get more money from commercials. It's hardly breaking news

Because the BOTS audience booing Perez makes it seem like a "oh give it a rest perez, talking shite again" moment.

It was probably the freaking producers and camera men booing, i'm serious as well. Anything to shut him up.

Also think its worth remembering. Since the move to Channel 5.
the show now has a Story Editor now there's only one reason they are employed and that's the edit the Stories and given this is supposed to be about totally unique events that would make that job almost impossible unless they create situations (like conflict) and keep them going.

Hows that done

Outside information
And we've seen more of that than Ever. that's not evolving the show that's making a total mockery of the format, Its also worth saying in countries that followed channel 5 (like Australia the format is in deep trouble) the countries that remained loyal to the original format are doing well.

Producers have become so obsessed with guiding the show because Clearly renewing on a yearly basis is hardly a secure future they have totally lost sight what made the show so special and Unique.

you actually look how much footage you see from 24hrs its a complete farce.

They probably did. I remember making a thread at the time saying BB are hiding something. There is too much dodgyness about the show now.

They stitched him up with the awful treatment shown him by guests tonight, so he shafted them back.

Job done.

Go Perez!

I am sure thats highly possible. We didn't see Alex being asked to sleep on it. He seemed to go too quick and at the time I think Perez was saying things like he felt unsafe etc so the one who would bring the ratings in had to stay

Well, there's strict laws about telling lies like that, so let's see if BB deny it and sue him.

Somehow I don't think they will....

I really am gobsmacked that this is deemed so shocking.

It hasn't surprised me in the slightest

Agreed. No matter how much a HM is hated, BOTS never boos anyone, except John McCrirck as a joke. Those boos did not come from the audience, if they did, then they may have been told to.

Nobody seems to have noticed but Perez said something on live feed last week about the ratings being sky high for this series.

It was very suspect how they showed Alex entering the DR but didn't show him in there actually asking to leave. I can imagine Perez giving them a 'It's him or me!' type ultimatum, knowing full well that the producers would rather him stay as he was giving them more 'drama' than Alex.

PS I'm not sympathising with Alex if that was the case, as annoying as I found Perez his whole blow up over the food situation got out of hand and I think if he had stayed he might well have come to blows with Perez which, as much as I dislike Perez, I wouldn't have liked to see.

Exactly and I suspect its going to be a gift that keeps giving.

The fake tans with patsy
the hairdresser visits for KP
the newspaper column for KH

Its all coming back to the same thing a core concept of the show isn't just overlooked its been totally dropped. this Entire series has been about conflict at times its like being in a house with a family that's on the verge of breaking up.

there's been no fun I cant remember a time when so many HM's said they regret doing the show meaning the summer series is going to be nothing but Towie/GS.

Just wait to see how long before KH gets a channel 5 show

I agree - I'm sure Alex wanted out, but I wondered at the time why they didn't show the diary room interview?

As a Perez supporter, I would have preferred to keep Perez in the show than Alex. They are making a TV show at the end of the day. Not sure how interesting it would have been without Perez this year. It was pretty dull in the main house while Perez was in the secret room.
