Boos and Cheers as information
Michelle got the best reception according to what was played to viewers and the house on the day when this forum were most verbal about expressing their disappointment with her. While other HMs like Keith were booed and Pricey was cheered.
Does the soundscape for this series match reality? |

The crowd DOES have a representation on the vote.
EG whoever gets the Chant is in danger. Even with vote to save. Love at Caroline BB13 / Frenchy / Perez / we all thought they'd be safe but they got booted out. |

Yeah if the crowd boo you know you're in danger. But take Perez's vote today. Nobody would've known he would be evicted after the reaction of the crowd was hostile because it was hostile last week too. While Hopkins was cheered last week and received boos this week and so on. In terms of audience reception Michelle got the best despite the fact she's not being received well across the internet after last nights edit.

How does this explain the adoration for Kirk, Natalie, Winston on their eviction nights to name but a few?

Because Aaron was booed a lot, but he won. |

It doesn't. It just says that it's the negative crowd reaction you have to be more worried about....usually.

Not saying it is a good reference for what the result will being but the crowd reception can give a slight idea as to what's going to happen.

The crowd likely consists of a small number of groups who think the same. It's like having about a dozen people with different opinions out of the 1000s of viewers. I don't think it's statistically significant.

Ulrika was booed but she won, Rachel Rice got a fair amount of boos but she won and Shilpa got a fair few boos when she won too so it's a dangerous game to assume that getting cheers means that you're doing well. I think Michelle in particular has bought into the crowd reaction a fair bit, which is why I'd like to see her out first as I think it will surprise her!
Yes maybe you're right, it's quite possibly meaningless to go by the eviction crowd. |
