Why was Perez evicted tonight?

Never been much of a fan of Perez or Hopkins but I had always assumed they would be the final two come Friday night. So imagine my shock when his name was called out tonight. I figured that maybe I had got it wrong and he didn't have a strong fan base so I checked this most recent poll...

http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2048518

...and well you can see for yourself. Other polls on the internet also had him as second or occasionally third favourite.

Seems odd therefore that the likes of Michelle and Calum ended up with more votes. This leaves me concluding that either 1) none of Perez's fan base voted for him, or 2) there are a lot of viewers out there who don't use the internet voting for Michelle and Calum.

Seems a bit fishy either way. Am I the only one who finds it all rather odd?

I'm afraid I did find it odd, but I suppose it would be fanciful to think it was rigged. It must have been the actual result, mustn't it? I mean, they wanted Perez in the final, didn't they?

Although the BOTS show was so hostile to Perez tonight I might almost think CBB were out to get him and that it might even have included announcing the wrong sixth place?

Maybe some of the other housemates threatened to walk if Parez was in the final. This wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

Polls don't correlate with the pay per vote public, it costs about 50p a go in a vote to save so he's gone cos not enough people voted for him.

Maybe they knew they wouldn't have much time to grill Parez on Final night, so opted to get him out now just so they would have more time to be vile to him throughout bots.

The public bought into the "vile, obnoxious and disgusting" version of Perez.

I had a quick look at Twitter and Facebook after the Perez - Callum row last night and it was all "Go Callum" and saying how he had put Perez in his place.....I should have guessed this might have been an indicator of how things were going. (It does show what Perez was up against : Callum was enraged and hurling horrible obscenities during that clash, and yet the public were 100% behind him).

I was surprised that he was evicted but over the past 2 shows, he's said "**** the British public" and "i don't give a shit what the public think about me" or words to that effect.

It probably didn;'t go down to well with the viewers.
Oh and of course Hopkins was straight in there with her fake outrage that he said something against the 'Great British public', something she 'loves' lol.

I wish so many people weren't brainwashed by her bullshit, she's manipulating the public more than the BB producers

The funny thing is I believe him on this. He said repeatedly that he wanted to leave the house, didn't like the housemates, didn't need the money and didn't give two hoots what the public thought of him.....I think he was being entirely honest on all of these.

Oh i agree. He made $3mil last year and doesn't need the money and as soon as he first heard the "Get Perez out" chants, he probably knew he wouldn't win so i do believe he wanted out.

I do too, he played the game, BB did everyhting to make him stay, he did his stint and then the voting public chose 'no more'.

It's a shocker he didn't make the final though. Never has a HM so totally dominated CBB and not made the Friday night show.

Yeah I was a bit deflated tbh
I can understand the CT theories but the GBP had had enough, not me, I'd have happily seen him crowned

In any other BB I may have wanted him out first but my dislike of Hopkins made me want him to be in the final above her.

I'd say the producers were absolutely fuming he was in the bottom 2. It's taken a huge amount of steam out of their final night.

Exactly, and blown the CTers out of the water.

If he wanted to leave the house, didn't care about the public or the housemates and didn't need the money then there was no barrier to just walking away. As far as I am aware, none of us know him on a long-term personal basis and therefore are unable to vouch for his honesty, all we can say is, as you have done, what we think and I personally think he is a liar and manipulator. Could be he was on something (or should have been) stronger than sleeping pills because his mood appeared to go from manic to curling in the corner crying - this is mere speculation from observation on my part and I think he went for the sympathy vote on the few occasions it crossed his mind.
I came on the forum to see if he had gone because his voice and antics were not my idea of entertainment and I couldn't listen to him with that loud droning voice any more, so I can watch the last couple of days. All this is my personal opinion but I am really pleased both he and Nadia have gone.
I do vote in the polls but will never spend my hard-earned cash on a vote to save only if they returned to vote to evict will I spend, which it seems is now never going to happen and I have saved quite a nice little sum, so thank you to those who pushed for the change and continue to spend

Well said, excellent post, BIBs in particular.

Must admit I was surprised that he got evicted last night. I thought that as it was a vote to save, he would have picked up enough votes to stay until finals night.

I am so happy that he got booted out, i can put up with a boring final, i couldnt deal with Perez being in with a chance of winning.

I'm beginning to think he's better off out of it, the Final. Let the wannabe winners have their hour of glory. Shame that he was thrown to the wolves after sticking it out for CBB management and the viewers for so long. But never mind, life goes on and I'm rather glad he won't be part of the crap we'll be served up on Friday.

So why didn't he leave, he didn't need the money, so why stay. He was the one who used to rule book to get rid of two housemates and another walked because of him. He twists what he saw when in the secret room. He threatened Callum with a vile act. They only started to isolate him or walk away when Alexander left.

I agree, why don't people believe him ? I think he's totally honest and truthful.
It was so annoying when he said he wanted to leave and that nasty woman Zissman pipes up that no he didn't, how the hell does she know what was in his mind !!!

Like I have said throughout the week....

It's only on DS that he has support like that - on all the other forums he's lower down on the polls whilst KH is miles ahead.

He just never had the support.

He is the only person in the history of big brother I have spent money on.

I'm in mourning
