This is back in the midweek charts at number 4. Great album but anyone know why?

Or maybe they've released a special edition of it as it's unbelievably 30 years old this year

Not a bad album but Love Over Gold is better.

30 years old!

I had a bit of a google and it looks as if "Money for Nothing" is used in "The Kingsman", so that might explain it, although I would have thought people would just download that track rather than the whole album. I would have bet on the title track being in "American Sniper"., to be honest.

Dire Straits, or rather Mark Knopfler, don't seem to have gone in for the reissue/remastering of their back catalogue in the way other bands have.

Surely everyone of a certain age already has this.

Just like Sade's Diamond,Life and Ub40's Labour of Love.

Unless its a re-issue of the original master I don't really care. Otherwise [most likely] it will be just another cash in reissue, squashing the original dynamics into the ground.

Brothers In Arms, yes, the other two I have never owned a copy of. Never owned a copy of Thriller either, for that matter.

Amen to that. Anyhow, Diamond Life and Labour of Love have nowhere near the the number of sales that Brothers in Arms has.
