Everybody hates Perez but whenever you ask them why - every reason they give is as flimsy as a wet tissue, so that makes me think one of either two things - one - they are following the group/popular emotion or two - they actually have a bit if evil within them

Because at this point when you see a guy with fear in his eyes, baying crowds and surrounded by hostile people - your decency is supposed to come out and say " NO ONE SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE THIS".

REGARDLESS of If you hate him, love him, loathe him whatever THIS S~~T IS WRONG.

It doesn't matter if he wins or loses, that's the name of the game but the treatment and reaction to him is absolutely despicable, people have lost their minds.

the only thing I can think is this incident will be one of those things that people look back on in few years with shame about what actually went down.

I think the time has finally come where I wont be a part of this anymore - and I urge anyone else with a conscience to consider what they support here by watching it. A lot of people used to snigger when I told them I was a fan of BB - they said "omg you don't watch that trash do you" - now I know why, even trash is more human than this S~~T.

I feel the same but think a lot of it was a set up by BB... they know his mentality is a bit frail and went for it to destroy him or get him taking another hissy on the way out... he didnt though, give him his due.. I dont tell some friends I watch the show , IM a bit ashamed to be honest.. and only watched the one with Jade and Shilpa to see Barrymore that year, who came in all sheepish then tried to bully and take over... after that I only watched wee bits of the show and never got into it... However I heard Cheggars was in this one and thought he s nice , I might watch....never expecting a Perez... so I was hooked..but thats it.... Im calling a halt and taking up reading.. they can take the show and stuff it .thank you for that wonderful eloquent post xtramo. it should be sent to the BB producers but they will be reading it here anyway..

How awful was the "off off off " all the way through the interview, it made my blood boil, pathetic. Especially since Perez, love him or hate him has contributed alot to this series and certainly earned his fee. Also think playing Lady Gaga as his walk out song was a low blow from Big brother.

Yeah of course. Perez is like the only person ever to get booed by the baying crowd.

I hate him cos he's mega annoying and would test the patients of a saint. The other HMs did exceptionally well to tolerate him. If that's as flimsy as a wet tissue in your eyes then who cares.

Seriously though, we need more threads saying how great Perez is. There just arent' enough LOL

I think Hopkins following me around the house nipping my ear would have thrown me over the edge even more though.

I did not like Perez but the crowd were horrrible I actually felt sorry for him, fair enough if they want to boo him but usually when the HM starts having their interview the crowd comes round, there is no need to shout OFF OFF OFF Emma should ask them not to do it, how can you interview anyone with all that going on, she should have nipped it in the bud.

I agree , Perez asked here what they were saying and she sort of ignored it and carried on with the interview. she should have demanded silence out of decency ..

What is seriously worrying is someone who states that they hate someone they don't know personally. Someone who is appearing on a heavily edited game show and after shows with specifically picked so called celeb panelists chosen for the shows agenda? What is also amazing is the total hypocrisy shown towards certain individuals for being ANNOYING whilst turning a blind eye to the extreme views of others

He's the most self obsessed, obnoxious individual that as ever graced that house. Full of hot air, never gave anyone else a chance to speak, came out with some absolutely disgusting comments (cancer free???) and all in all ruined this series by making it all about him. The crowd has every right to boo the **** out of him. And I don't blame the way the housemates treated him - I wanted to slap him just seeing 30 mins of him a day. Imagine dealing with that around the clock for weeks on end?!

I think you should ask yourself WHY people reacted to him in the way in which they did. People are acting as if he was a saintly, kindly character with no faults.

He was an absolute nightmare, and I dare say that a lot of the viewing public could not have stayed the course with him.

Hopkins was the way she was because she was told to behave herself right off in there and couldnt be the mean person she is and Perez took her pedestal... she couldnt handle that..

Not really surprising that people discuss the subject of the thread without including their thoughts on all and sundry us it? Nothing to do with hypocrisy.

IMO you have just summed up KH to a tee. The problem is if you corner, badger, belittle or antagonise anyone some wither away into the back ground and some attack back. It's a normal defensive human instinct.

Good post OP. Have been no fan of Perez but thought he was treated terribly last night. Producers, if you are reading, where is your imagination? Can you only 'entertain' through generating spite and nastiness? Perez should have been allowed to walk when he seemingly asked repeatedly. If he did, he was set up for last night and it was mercenary. Personally can't stand the guy but there was no need. He's clearly unstable.

Are you honestly suggesting that

a. You think Katie Hopkins would respond positively to being told to 'behave herself?"

b. Having viewed the show, you think this actually happened.

Did you watch the show?

I think the mob mentality extends beyond the crowd and the show too.

I was just watching the Wright Stuff and Perez's departure was mentioned. One of the panel said Perez was responsible for 3HMs leaving the show, the others just nodded along.

Really?

I feel your pain. and I havent even watched it yet. I have found him entertaining. Think what we would have had without him. I just dont get it. But then Americans are akways treated like shit on this show. Im not watching it again. I stopped when Denise (horrible) Welch won. Her treatment of Michael was disgusting. I can only think some of the people who watch this show are too.
As for the button thing I think KH didnt want her letter, never mind persuading poor Michelle not to. She is a complete ass h**e (KH that is). Every day she looks more and more stupid. I can't believe she is the favourite. What a sad, sad world.

I am totally accepting of your view, mine is different and that's ok, people view things differently. But he was being treated as if his behaviour in the house was on a par with that of a nazi war criminal, and that kind of reaction is OTT.

They reacted as they did because they were not nice people, if he had been in a house with nicer people we may have seen a mad Perez who also interacted on a personal level , just look at the last couple of days when KatieH stopped hounding him and actually spoke to him even she saw another side to him.
He was treated to terrible homophobic comments and no one stopped to help him even on here people bayed he deserved it ! No one deserves it. I am not saying he was an angel, far from it but the OTT reactions to him were worse IMO
