A spokesperson for Channel 5 has since responded to Perez’s comments with a short statement.

They said: “Housemates are free to leave the house at any time.

“Perez’s decision to stay in the Big Brother house was his, and his alone.”

The bit in bold is totally wrong. Perez said do you want me to be honest to Rylan. Then Perez repeated do you want me to be really honest. At that point Rylan was trying to lead Perez in saying he had come in for the experience etc

Good grief. This is no big deal.

They don't want people to walk. They always try to persuade them not to leave.

In Hilton's case, they merely appealed to his vanity.

LOL, Perez and The Perez Show stole the limelight from BB! Now BB has its panties in a twist. Perez gets people AND shows to expose themselves for what they really are.
He was too good for this show.

Finally watched he interview and I can quite honestly say I don't know what all the fuss is about?

He threatened to leave- they told a narcissistic egotist what he wanted to hear to stay - that it was "the Perez show" - they always persuade HM who want to leave to stay

No one held a gun to his head - they didn't promise him anything - so I don't know what the problem is it was still his decision to stay despite the supposed "Trauma"

I don't think anyone thought he was physically threatened into staying in fact I don't think many are amazed at all that BB try to keep HMs. However, we have never had any kind of confirmation of this from anyone concerned before. As the first time this has been confirmed I think it's worthy of a bit of interest.

As for promising him something I think that is exactly what they did when they created the secret room task for him. Maybe even this is something that has happened before which wouldn't surprise me but, yet again, this is the first time we have been told about it directly.

I think it would be odd as a BB viewer not to get excited about this
