In my first posts about Perez back on day 1 or 2, I said I thought he had a really kind face, and I still feel exactly the same. He's got this childlike openness and vulnerability that I find completely endearing.

That interview was really compelling and I'm slightly in awe of his resilience. To come through that experience AND the reaction he's had since getting outside, and still be smiling and self-deprecating is quite something. I'd have cracked up.

I agree.

No it doesn't excuse it, and it was very selfish, but it highlights something which we were given absolutely no knowledge of. We just see the HL and that's it.
Like for example on tonight's HL show the clip of them talking about whether Katie H has been playing them was quite different to the clip uploaded online,

I have to admit that when Perez first went into the house I thought he was reasonably harmless ... but too loud for my liking; then I began to think he was a bit of an arse, but then I started to grow increasingly more and more uncomfortable with the whole ostracising him and Katie Hopkins constant goading of him, that I began to have sympathy for him and actually began to realise that he was actually very funny, very bright, extremely articulate and engaging and probably - like Nadia - I would have spent more time with him in there than a lot of the others.

This is pretty much how I felt as well, although I disliked him quite a bit at the beginning. It's so interesting to see him outside the house - he has been polite and magnanimous (with no real bad words to say about anyone) in the face of very hostile and ill-mannered questioning. Salute the guy.

No of course it didn't. Perez is the source of all badness and madness. But he's very giving - everyone who behaved badly in that House can now attribute it to Perez. He has been granted the ability to take on all their nasty, selfish and immature behaviour and attitudes and make them his own. Everything was his fault. Everything. If he hadn't have been there, everyone would have had a lovely time and come out even saner and nicer than when they went in.

I thought it was a good interview.
He got a chance to say his bit without being browbeaten into silence.

Katie Hopkins started this whole "he got 3 housemates booted" and it's just turned into reality. I am truly in awe of how she can manipulate these clueless bast**ds.

If you refuse to watch things how can you come to a fair conclusion?

I was surprised to see 'The Hopkin Effect' take hold with such ease in the house - she managed to alter the whole narrative - it would appear she managed to reach people on this forum too.

So, if someone you didn't like, who you thought was persecuting you, who actually was and woke you up deliberately and laughed about it, sat across from you making grotesque sexual faces and mimicking rimming or performing cunnilingus on you, you'd think that was just fine then?

Alexander: The coughing thing. He explained it on Loose Women, but if no one can be arsed with that, heres an executive summary:
He was coughing in the room, not targeting Alexander. They could see nothing in the room, it was pitch black.

We saw Alexander upset and angry, and we saw why. It wasn't any 'misunderstanding'.

Not a misunderstanding - there was dislike on both sides. There was antagonistic behaviour on both sides. one of them couldn't contain his anger and aggression (and happened to have tour dates booked the following week) so he walked. The 'Big Man' was also a very angry man.

Not everything is as cut and dried as it appears - hearing an explanation of the coughing incident puts a whole new light on it - it did seem very random at the time (although personally I found it funny) - it's much clearer now.

And .........can someone please explain to me how HM's screaming and larking about till all hours preventing people from sleeping is that much different? It certainly doesn't get the same sort of reaction as this incident got.

No, it's obvious that you believe whatever he says though.

Do you think Perez acted completely innocently? Do you think Perez didn't know he was upsetting and offending Alexander?

Or do you think that was perfectly okay for him to follow him around and make obscene gestures at him, because he's old and black and might have some difficulty dealing with being treated to that delightful display without saying something he shouldn't which would show he was homophobic and so he deserves it?

Or was Perez mimicking rimming him just a misunderstanding then? Perez was really being 'playful', nice and friendly? Do you think Perez didn't know what he was doing at all?

The coughing wasn't funny at all. Perez did it deliberately to wake the others, he said so. He then stood right next to Alex's bed and coughed until he woke him up. Alexander was confused and nervous.

It was nasty.

Most people will feed negativity, it requires a stronger mind not to. I wonder how those people who are suggesting Perez deserves the bile being directed at him would have coped in his situation. Stand up for themselves or conform to be accepted by spiteful people.

I do believe his explanation actually. It all makes far more sense now - it did seem incredibly random at the time. He has no reason to lie - why shouldn't I believe him? Why do I have no reason to? Did you watch the interview?
