There seems to have been a trend towards BB/CBB becoming more and more conflict-driven. This year's CBB was explicitly advertised as 'a twisted fairy tale', so from the very beginning things were set up to be tense. With the activities of Katie Hopkins and Perez Hilton taking centre-stage and following Perez's eviction last night it almost seems as if nastiness and spite is being celebrated. More and more, housemates are being goaded into explosive situations that 'make good viewing figures' but lead them to denigrate themselves as individuals. I'm not stupid...it would be crazy if BB were like watching paint dry and nobody ever argued but what happened to other forms of 'entertainment'? There seems to be much less emphasis on HM 'tasks' now, some of which used to be challenging and funny.
The above leads me to think that, in order to keep along present lines, the producers are going to have to 'up the ante' with each new BB/CBB to keep their audience hooked, so where is it going to end? How far can they actually go?
