I loved it because no matter how crazy Walts life got, it still somehow seemed believeable. And because no matter how messed up he became, you still really liked him.

Fantastic writing, brilliant acting. One of the best shows ever

The female characters were completely ridiculous and unbelievable.”

I disagree with this. While it is true that the male characters are stronger, Skylar and Marie are still good characters in their own right and are definitely believable.

Quite tired of Netflix hyping this to death.

Better Call Saul. Giving it a go, bit of a slow burner but will give it a few more episodes as it seems to have potential.”

You watched one episode and that's what your basing it on ?

I did like it, but now so many people like it, I have gone off it.

Just finished breaking bad last night and already want to watch them all again, I reluctantly watched at first with my fiancé it didn't sound my cup of tea but I got hooked on it, brilliant storyline going from a nice guy who I felt sorry for to eventually despising him then right at the end liked him again. I thought all characters were needed and played their parts well and as for some saying not enough women it was only really about Walt and Jesse everyone else man or woman had the right amount of airtime for me.

Sadly, I didn't think the series lived up to the hype. It was a great idea, and I enjoyed the first series immensely but, as I watched more series I found myself disliking every character. By the time I got to the final series I couldn't give a damn what happened to Walt, his family and his friends and just watched to see how it ended.

I will agree that it is better than a lot of dross out there but not one of the best ever. IMHO it doesn't get anywhere near The Wire or seasons 1-5 of The Sopranos, which it was always being compared with (for enjoyment) by many on TV forums.

BB got better and better as time went on. It. It had fabulous characters who were believable because of excellent writing & a willingness to allow the show to develop at its own pace. The foreshadowing was also fun to try and second guess.

I doubt there'll ever be a show as good as BB again, but I can live in hope,

I think some people were put off because series 1 was a bit gross at times - I preferred it when it got into series 2, 3 and 4 but having said that, it was still compelling TV, right from the get go.

Gus was a brilliant character, as was Mike. It was an inspiration bringing those two in. I read that Truco was going to be in it for a longer duration, but the actor who played him had previous commitments, so they had to cut him out earlier than planned. I think that was a good thing, because that story arc could have gone on a bit and Truco was a truly loathesome character. It became much more interesting once Walt and Jesse had to find a better solution to distributing the meth.

I loved it - I watched the whole thing three times straight through It's one of those shows you don't want to ever end.
