I think he is a real fan of UK culture and thought he knew which game to play thus everybody would love him! NOT

I think that's accurate. He went in there thinking the British public would love him. In the first couple of weeks he continually repeated that the British public love him and that he was going to the final. The booing was a big wake-up call. An even bigger wake up call was the 'welcome' he received both from the eviction crowd last night and the people on BBBOTS.

There was absolutely no remorse from him whatsoever. It was almost as if he was shocked by the reaction. Such an arrogant man with a total lack of self awareness.
