It's called 'tough love' and is how one excludes anti-social, aggressive, selfish people from gaining the benefits of normal, decent, respectful general Society without resorting to violence. Perez's behaviour DID change 99% for the better once his idiotic co-enabler Nadia left; even Katie H had many good connections with him, bringing out his true OK 'Mario' side, which he'd been encouraged by Nadia NOT to show for reasons of her own.

The reason you haven't many answers is because people know that no matter what is said, there will be an "excuse" for it, or it will have been "deserved".

That's not tough love, it's an excuse for the bullies to feel superior over someone by ganging up on them. If they were really offended by Perez's behaviour there were other ways they could have handled him besides than acting like a bunch of nasty schoolkids then picking on anyone who wouldnt fall into line with them like Nadia, Alicia and Katie P who refused to isolate Perez because Katie H and her cronies told them to.

From the perspective of a straight male, I find it abhorrent when a gay man says they would like to stick his dick up my arse, most straight males would tell you they find this disturbing and this should in no way be confused with homophobia because it just isn't. Perez knew fine and well about this and he tried this same tactic on Callum and Alexander and when alex reacted he played the victim and cried homophobia. He got Callum to react but not in a homophobic way. If a straight man said it to a women it would be bad enough but for a gay man to say it to a straight man, it really is deplorable. I've got many gay friends who are close to me and we spoke about this and they feel the same. They also know they would be crossing a line behaving like that. Would like too also add that if you met my gay friends you would on no terms realise they are gay, they act and look exactly like myself. you would only know if they told you. I know everybody is an individual but I find the opposite with perez. He is gay and wanted you know 24/7.
I honestly think he has harmed the perception of gay people to some not all of the british public. |

Because of him using his sexuality to winding up straight housemates(Callum and alex). Then crying homophobia. That's why.
Do you think he was worse than Dennis the spitter? or the ones that put scabs in Science's food? or the guy that poo'd in the fridge? What has he really done? |

I can't get my head around the level of hate directed at him from some quarters. You dislike him, you find him obnoxious, fine. But the hyperbolic vitriol thrown at him is OTT.

Calum called him a dick, so Perez responded by saying (wtte) 'Yes, a huge dick...and I'll stick it up your ass'. Shove/stick it up your ass is an everyday saying, akin to IDGAF, GTH, who cares, I don't need/want it anyway, etc. As Perez explained in the DR afterwards, he didn't mean literally, it was figurative. So why all the faux-outrage to try justify hatred for a relatively harmless person who was ostracised for being loud, ott and just trying to have some fun? The only crime he committed was daring to have a personality infront of those with very little or none. |

I liked him, and still like him. I don't know anything about him outwith the house, but I thought he was fine in this show. I love flamboyant, vibrant people, having fun, and I especially love bright, intelligent wit. He brought all that into the house, and more, and I will truly miss him brightening up my life. If that was the real Perez/Mario, I wish he lived next door to me: he'd be welcome any time. My favourite moment was when he said "Sorry if I offended idiots." So-o-o--o ironic and smart! I can only assume that the people daft enough to waste their money voting are also too daft to get his humour or see through the game-playing tactics of the other housemates.

That's absolute nonsense he knew exactly what he was saying when he said I will stick it up your ass. He had previous with alex. Your obviously Perez fan so there will be no reasoning with. Bye
