Any Android app's NEED a physical "home" button?
Was just showing my new Cube 9x tablet to somebody and, upon noticing that it doesn't have any kind of physical "home" button, they commented "you're gonna be stuffed when you try to use an app' which you can't quit out of".
Maybe I've just been lucky but every app' I've installed on it, so far, has either still displayed the system taskbar at the bottom of the screen or, if they are full-screen app's, I get a message saying "swipe down to exit full-screen mode", whereupon the taskbar becomes visible again. So ARE there any app's which will require the use of a physical "home" button to quit out of? ![]() It's not something I'd even thought about before but if that was a problem, I would have thought some of the reviews I'd read might have mentioned it. |

There is no need for a physical home button and you won't get stuck in a app because of a lack of physical button, the navigation bar will always show when needed.

It's not problem as Android is designed to work without physical buttons

I have had a nexus 10 tablet for years, it doenst have a physical home button. Never been stuck in an app. The OS will just display a home button on the screen, which you can use.
