So sorry, what a beautiful dog. It's the hardest thing we have to do but the biggest act of love at the same time. I'm sure he had a wonderful life with you and most importantly left you knowing how much he was loved and cared for x
Thank you.
He was looked after very, very well, I wish I'd had him at home instead of taking him to the vets.
Aww he looks like a wee old gentleman.

My oldest dog's almost 17 now and I'm dreading the day. I hope it's not long before you canremember him with smiles rather than tears. x
Thank you. I hope I remember him with smiles very soon.

My thoughts are with you. It is a hellish heartbreaking thing to have to do. He was a gorgeous wee boy.

You always remember them.

It's nice in today's age where we have photos and smartphones so we can look back on things

I keep going back to look at that pic Waj. It's so lovely.

There's such determination -something in the eyes - I think perhaps he can't so clearly see but he's gonna get there.

What a special relationship.

(Of course they're all special).

Yes, I have lots of good photos of my dog.

The old lad was blind.
He had a fantastic heart and personality, everyone that met him took to him instantly.
He was very, very special
I walked down that path this afternoon....he was there with me, in my heart at least.

Sorry for your loss. He looks adorable. It's a heartbreaker, losing a pet.

Thank you both...I really appreciate your kind words.
Sorry to read about Jasper, 18 years, that's a hole that's going to be hard to fill.

He's back where he belongs now, with you.

Hope each day gets a little bit better for you and having his ashes is bringing a bit of comfort.

I'm happy for you both that he's back home with you.

It's a love and attachment that's inexpressible as it is with family.

RIP sweet Jasper xx

Aww, his little grey face looked so happy trotting along. You obviously cared for him well and gave him a lovely long life, try and take comfort from that

Thank you, yes I loved him to bits!

I've had that photo made into A3 size along with another one which I'm having framed.

I am so sorry

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
