In here we spend a lot of time chewing the fat and I don't think we're particularly swayed by a housemate's nationality, on the whole we evaluate them on their merits in the house and give them the benefit of the doubt until they give us reason to like or dislike them.”

Think you may need to reevaluate your opinion there, an American won last season, and Michelle has done pretty well for herself despite her small British following. If the yanks were allowed to vote she'd probably walk it.

It's a tough forum to get involved with. Years I just sat by and read amazed at what I was reading. It's very much like the CBB house this year!

I saw a lot of support for Perez on facebook. Of course there was a lot of people who didnt like him too. (Usually spouting vitriolic nonsense mind) I've also noticed a stead y backlash for Katie Hopkins She is not quite guaranteed just yet.

With respect, there is no 'right' or 'wrong', there is merely opinion, and the only point that opinion on BB becomes relevant is by vote (a bit like democracy)

If your opinion runs counter to the consensus, then if anyone is 'wrong' I'm afraid its you, but like I said, the terms wrong and right are probably inappropriate.

All this begs the question of whether being out of step with the public's perception of who is a worthy winner is due to our shared values which are developed as we discuss BB here? Most of our arguments boil down to what each of us consider to be core beliefs. Often such things remain insensate until we begin to discuss and argue about why we like or dislike X house mate. My visceral dislike of Perez for instance was softened as I watched people debate his behaviour here but a friend who was watching the show with me hasn't been able to move on from his initial disgust and dislike. I don't think I'd enjoy BB as much without this forum. It adds another dimension to the experience.

Can't really complain though because the bookies, other polls and the eviction crowd can make huge blunders aswell.
I think the possible reason why things seem more unpredictable now is because it's not so much a popularity contest anymore, it's a game of getting votes at the right time.”

Thats right. It used to be the popular one who won but also ut was vote to evict so that made a difference

Nice quote but untrue as has been proven repeatedly throughout history.........the most obvious ......I won't bother mentioning .

Either way, it's not really relevant to this thread. I do understand the concept of finding someone a good housemate despite disliking them as a person.

For instance, i think Hopkins is a pretty garbage person, but i have found her very entertaining as a housemate, and probably most deserving of the win. Ultimately conflicted.”

Shows you tho so you prefer an obnoxious nasty woman child to win
Thank god for our differences I say

Yes . She is just as much a child as him . Pair of squabbling 6 year old brats and so called adults are fighting over who's the baddest ...........Embarrassing for normal people !

Strange how we see things so opposingly. I see her as more of a fart in a space suit.

If on the mark means condoning Hopkin's behaviour then I would rather aim for Jupiter then be on target.
