He's probably a little overrated. At least he put the effort in so he deserves some plaudits for that.
The most overrated is probably Brian Dowling (possibly the most popular hm of all time), because everyone overrates their favourite housemate to be honest.
But with Brian, all he really did was add an amusing comment here and there. Was there any depth or unpredictability to him? The reason for his success was because he was nice and safe and one-dimensional.
He pushed his luck when he became the host though.
He is, in my opinion, a little overrated. However, he is nowhere near being the most overrated ever. Kate, Rachel Rice, Aisleyne, Deana, Dextor, Gina, Ashleigh, Aaron - these plus several others are considerably more overrated, on these forums at least.
Nadia from Victor's year was more overrated for me. She was a screaming banshee given the benefit of the doubt for all the wrong reasons. Her stint in UBB corrected many a person's opinion of her though...

I think he was a good housemate, and the only thing that saved UBB from utter disaster. BB2 was an incredibly soft series though. It was surely the easiest house ever to live in, and Brian was treated as rather a star by the other housemates, making it even easier for him.
I think Victor was overrated on here, though he was a good forum member. The people who claim that he was 'a legend' always quote the same two or three things. A lot of the time he was just grumpy. And Jon Tickle was as annoying as he was funny, and on his return, just annoying, and not funny at all.
Imo Freddie and Marcus were the most overrated housemates ever. It made the forum almost unbearable during BB10.
I have a soft spot for Victor. I have always been a sucker for cocky guys with a veneer of bravado so thin that everyone except them can see right through it. He was more of an herbaceous border moggie than a jungle cat IMO,
HERESY!! Victor was great. They were ALL great in BB5. (Well apart from Vanessa and Shell imo). That's why it is the legendary BB series, never to be surpassed. Live feed.... fantastic characters.... incredibly funny moments....fights....drama. It had it all.

Exactly. Comedy GENIUS. But he knew that all along. Apart from fight night where there was some proper prowling and yowling. Those were the days....!
I think to have truly appreciated Victor you had to have seen him on the live feed. His late night chats with Jason were the reason I loved him as a housemate. A genuinely witty and funny guy.
The moments the jungle cats bitching in their merry widow costumes priceless 😆
I laughed at and with him in there at times but I liked the lip gloss bitches more 😊
