I am looking for an inexpensive phone with good battery life, preferably an Android phone. I am not bothered about having quad-core, HD screen, etc, just a usable phone with a good battery. Does anyone have any suggestions?

How cheap is cheap? You could get a Moto G gen 1 for 100 quid or so. If you want something a bit more fancy, you can get great deals on HTC One M8, LG G2 or OnePlus One.

The dumber the phone the better the battery life so wanting an Android is not, perhaps, the best idea! A simple Nokia106 at ~£10 or so will last up to a few weeks on standby!

Yes, if you start using any smartphone properly, the battery goes by the end of the day.

My Aunty has a moto e which she charges once a week. Granted she's not a heavy user and it is used for calls Text and whatsapp only. But still a smartphone battery lasting that long these days is excellent. She doesn't turn it off at night either.

This! I have a Moto E as well (as does my Mum), and the battery does last all day.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was considering a Lumia 630 as it seems the battery life is pretty good (not android obv.) but the Moto E sounds like a good option.

The Nokia 106 looks interesting, but it does not have 3G so won't work on '3'.
