Well there it is #37 in your quote - on the previous page....clear as day. So who got it wrong them?

Yeah just like this thread”

Being banned, as you were, for being rude is not the same thing as being a troll. I wasn't involved in you getting banned but you seem to resent the ability to report abusive, personal attacks. That is a bit worrying since your post mentions manners.

Clearly you do not know what a troll is. It is MUCH more than being rude. It is deliberately targeting someone, baiting them and provoking them i.e. trying to bully them. Fortunately, as mentioned, I do not have a victim's mentality.

ETA you've edited again and you ask

in the original link i tell you Alex says the words starting from 22:26 onwards....did you misread that too?”

Ah OK yes I missed this reference to the time on the video link...(which was once you clicked on the link but before the video - a bit convoluted). OK you are right, and it is not - as I was quoted as saying "feels made up". To clarify, I did not actually say it WAS made up or accuse you of lying; the implication was that you might be. Grey area. So sorry about that and I hope we have reached closure on this now?

Enjoy the finale tonight

Comments like that are all part of what you are deploring in your OP.
I was calmly pointing out an irony not raging at an injustice.

I wrote the post about Alexander in response to someone else's question and you said the words i wrote were made up: that is implying i am lying. By putting the little angry face next to it it implied you were angry about it too.

You didn't recall it being said ergo i was making it up.
That can be viewed as a personal attack which was what your OP in this thread was bemoaning.

If you'd asked when Alex said those words, i could have given you the information; instead you made an assumption and that was that.

I am actually just agreeing with your OP and adding that some of what people initially take as " intensive, provocative posts and crossing over to troll like behaviour" is in fact a misreading of a post, like you again misread my last post and the part where i said "if i hadn't seen other posts by you i could have assumed...". you ignored that and just read the word troll and defended yourself with little digs like "calm down" and "familiarise yourself with the definition".

Yes i do know what a troll is thanks, do you know what manners are?.....see what i mean? everyone can be rude it's easy to write arsey little comments.

ETA you appear to have edited your post since i quoted it so this might not be relevant now i haven't read what you've added yet....
I've read it now...no worries i'm not having a go at you i'm just pointing out something i see a lot of, where people misread or half read posts or read them in the wrong tone of voice....or like you said you didn't go back to that thread again, which is fair enough.

The links to the thread and the vt were in my last post.”

I'm with you here Planets. The use of phrases like that can frustrating..

Well misreading the odd words does not a troll make...
Troll: One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument.

Since I feel you are deliberately playing me now...I have gone back and requoted the key word that I said FEELS made up, i.e. not saying it IS made up. OK? Therefore I was NOT accuse you of lying, just implying it. Will you let it drop now since it is looking suspiciously like you are targeting me?

I don't see that as any different. Besides this whole thread was started by you to belittle certain posters and advise them to change their ways...how patronising.

Amy i am not playing you.
I don't do that, as you yourself said earlier i stood up for you in the thread that was made about you.
i was however incredibly frustrated in this thread that every post i wrote, you misread.
i let it drop half an hour ago you are the one who is now trying to turn it round and accuse me of targeting you??? WOW just WOW.
Put me on ignore.

Again the misreading of my post. I did not accuse you of targeting me - indeed I said the word looking suspiciously like it.

OK well I had only just read your last comment and that needed addressing. I have no need to put anyone on ignore since I am made of strong stuff.

Thank you for your support for me on that thread...I mean that. Those that did so had a healing effect on me at a time that I was being victimised.

Let's leave it now and both enjoy the finale. No hard feelings - sorry that we got our wires crossed.

No. It wasn't about misreading it was about actual words used that create a tone that can be inflammatory or provocative in itself..

Yes inflammatory words seem to be the norm here, i.e. rude. Being rude is way less than the gross behaviour of a troll though.

No - you are wrong. I will take the flack for what I say but not a misrepresentation of that. If you read the OP then it can be seen that I am not belittling anyone but just showing certain FMs who go overboard in their hate, what it reveals about themselves i.e. I am just trying to bring awareness to what they may not have thought about regarding themselves. If they are trying to claim the high moral ground then being vile is counter productive.

No - I am not advising them to change their ways, just pointing out the EFFECTS of what they do since I assume they want their opinion to be respected, yeah? So, if anything, it is more like giving them a tip if they want their opinion to be considered and not rejected.

I meant provocative there.. Edited.

Yes but trolls aren't always responsible. Just normal FM's who could choose less provocative words to disagree with a post. But you know.. People can vent off steam and get frustrated too as long as they can recognise it. Being told to calm down when an HM hasn't really lost their cool is trying to provoke..

I didn't realise they could be so young I thought we had an 18 age limit ? I must have been mistaken and will now assume people may be children it puts a whole new slant on the forum generally though as many topics IMO should not be aired in front of children.

Yes I think the younger ones frequent the main BB series more, i.e. not the CBB series. I dipped into that forum once and found it both savage and moronic (which another FM confirmed as being their experience also). I quickly learnt that a lot of them are very young.

The weird thing about the timing of CBB/BB is that, although it goes out after the watershed, it is repeated daytime the following day!!! I can only asssume it must be highly edited.

Many years ago I ,and a few others, found ourselves responding to a very angry and abusive poster. It turned out to be a very unhappy 14 year old girl who was left alone every night because her mother worked. She had only just moved to the area, had no other family and no friends as yet. When we realised this us oldies spent a few hours chatting to her with kindness. It became clear that she was quite fragile. Needless to say I learnt my lesson.
