Apart from South Korea I don't think anyone has really got a plan for 5G yet Devon lol. I think I remember there being a demonstration in 2018 but heard that a while back. Everyone is still trying figure out how to deliver 5G and what it is actually going to be classed as 5G. I think people are going be slightly disappointed but think iot will certainly happen. 700MHz auction is likely going be very expensive.

Which is a bit of a shame as they could match EE in most ways. What worries me with EE is that most of the places I scrabble about, you get a fairly poor EE 2 or 3G signal and a phone in your pocket will drop in and out of service. 800 should solve this in theory but will the phone always be grabbing on to that patchy 2G signal? Or will they balance it right? At least with VOD you get a sensible 2G signal everywhere around here and their 800 should match that, if they ever bother to roll it out, which is unlikely.
