I support Katie P, and am a feminist, and am not a fan of Page 3.
Here's the thing - as far as I am aware, no-one who wants rid of Page 3 hates or condemns the models who pose for it. What they (and I) hate is the idea that having topless women in a national newspaper is an entirely normal thing, because of the way that might make certain members of the public percieve women (thst they're just a pair of breasts; a sexual figure there for lusting after and nothing more). Not to mention the way it might make young women percieve themselves and their worth.
I would NEVER condemn a woman for taking her clothes off. It's her choice. The problem occurs when other members of society believe that BECAUSE a woman takes her clothes off for a living, she deserves to be treated as a second class citizen, and deserves to be called a 'slag' etc. In fact I'm getting flashbacks to the Jeremy incident now!
I think you may have misunderstood it a bit, OP. There's a place for titilation, glamour photography and pornography, and a national newspaper isn't it.
