Does tonight prove its actually immaterial what the winner contributes to the show

Was never seeing the final tonight as I had a long stranding night out arranged.

However frequently checking my phone I wasn't astonished to find out who the winner was.

It's a fairly embarrassing end for the viewer but perhaps a value for money end for c5

Well going by the result tonight i would say yes. I don't mind Katie Price but she didn't deserve to win. Kav would have had more of a reason to win.

I thought after Perez went on Wednesday that we'd probably have a ridiculous winner : I was actually expecting a Katie P - Callum 1, 2 in either order.

It does seem to be a victory for empty, vacuous Heat Magazine types.....it appears people were lapping up Katie's gossip about cheating ex-partners.

Or proves the number of anti Hopkins votes.

I think tonight confirms that pre-existing fanbases are an important factor on CBB...which has been evident since I started watching it.

Not really. At the end, Pricey had people that wanted her to win more.

This is why BB is great.
Lets look at CH5 winners.

CBB8- Paddy
BB12- Aaron
CBB9- Denise
BB13- Luke A
CBB10- Julian
CBB11- Rylan
BB14- Sam
CBB12- Charlotte
CBB13- Jim
BB15- Helen
CBB14- Gary
CBB15- Katie P

So, it's all unpredictable. BB winners doesn't follow a specific type. We have had the extremely controversial (Helen), the slightly controversial but huge talking points of the series (Aaron, Denise, Gary), those who went from disliked to liked (Paddy) the comedian (Julian), the "nicer" ones (Luke A, Rylan), the extremely dull one (Sam) and the one with huge fanbase (Charlotte and Katie P).

No, it doesn't. You can contribute nastiness or niceness. Nastiness should never be rewarded, and thank goodness it wasn't last night. I don't want Big Brother to turn into The Jeremy Kyle Show; one of those is already enough.

I think it's simply because she's likeable....

very likeable.

Hopkins had a pre existing fan base too.

I'm a fan of kps usually, but I didn't think she derived to win. I admire her strong business head, her strength with men, her vulnerable side is endearing, and shes a great mother but for me on a show like this she's done very little.

Its sad really that input counts for very little on show like bb, for instance the nice dull housemates winning just to prevent others from doing so.

I really disliked Pérez but he carried this series he was more worthy and that's difficult to say.

Support, or merely a following to hear her controversial views ie car crash fan?????

I followed her but not as a fan and I'm sure many tuned in not for liking reasons either.

Katie Ps fans trumps Hopkins in terms of genuine ardent support.

An incredibly unlikeable, indifferent cast this year....that's the reason, even if it was 'entertaining' in its car-crash way.

Usually I warm to at least one or two, but not this year.

I wouldn't want to know a single one of them in real life.

Katie Price was probably the most 'likeable' that's why she won and that says a lot about the rest of them.

I'm sure Katie Price has a huge loyal fan base, add that together with the Anti Team Hopkins vote, it was job done and goodnight Vienna.

Very rewarding to watch, it was too.

The voters did well.

What is there to like about her ? She's totally vacuous.

As with so many of these reality shows, the finale is so often a letdown after what has gone before. Katie Price's victory will soon be forgotten and the series will always be remembered as being about Hopkins v Hilton.

Quite apt considering the fairy tale theme of this years show.

The princess won and the wicked witch was thwarted at the last minute.
