The anti-Hopkins vote won

Anybody could've been up against Katie Hopkins in that final 2 and won. Katie Hopkins is popular but because of her controversial character, there are a lot of people who also dislike her. Therefore, when it came down to the final 2, people voted for Pricey so Hopkins wouldn't win. Katie Price did not deserve to win. She won (in my opinion) because she was the only alternative to a Hopkins win which people didn't want. Katie Price didn't win, the anti-Hopkins vote did.

How do you know? How do you know Pricey wasn't leading the votes all night?

Accept that Katie Price won and Hopkins didn't.

That's my opinion too, OP, that Katie P won due to the anti-Hopkins vote. Sure she has a big following anyway, but I do think that this is what tipped the scales.

I'm guessing the producers knew that because of her provocative nature, the anti Hopkins vote would start happening on the final night. I'm glad it did, if it did.

I think Hopkins was her own worst enemy in there. Yes, okay, Perez behaved like an idiot some of the time on the highlights shows, but Hopkins would have been quite happy for the whole of the house to ignore Perez for the remainder of his time in there. She might have won if she hadn't have been as arrogant as she was.

Katie Price has a huge fanbase - and won because of that - she really didn't do much in the house to deserve the win though. compared to the likes of Keith, Nadia, Perez and KH who provided some entertainment like them or not.

People had a week to vote for up to 7 people - and about ten minutes at the end to choose between KP and KH. I expect KP had it won already - ten minutes cant overturn a weeks voting! So there was no obvious anti KH vote - just a big pro KP years of fanbase vote.

As for KH losing - well her team lasted pretty much in tact until the end and she walks away £400k richer, with a higher profile and more earning capacity. The joke is on the people who spend hours posting on forums about how much they hate the woman - while she makes money on the back of their faux outrage. If people just ignored her rather than engage in endless outrage about her tweets - she wouldn't be in public life.

The joke is on you - not her!

Hopkins was polling about 30% of the polls, 70% didn't think she was all that. Of those 30% some would have just wanted to keep her to the end because she was a stirrer but would not want her to win, we've seen this many times.

I agree that it was an anti-Hopkins vote. And I'm really happy about it.

This show was hers to lose from opening night. She stayed favourite all the way through. And in the end decency prevailed.

I love that the least likely HM beat her. It's almost like a 'troll vote'. Similar to if outsider Pav had beaten Helen, Ashleigh and all the others last year.

Hmm, this seems like a bit of spin tbh.

If the joke is on anyone, it's those KH supporters who've been gleeful about her behaviour and were ever so smug about her winning, and who've now wasted their money. Hubris.

Can't agree more.

It does leave however the fact that Katie Hopkins does have a following. If you read this forum you'd think it was a very small minority but she came 2nd!

I think that she did what they hired her to do, as did everyone for that matter, with the possible exception of Kav. For that I have no answer!

It was clearly a combination of the anti-Hopkins vote and the size of the KP fan base. Katie H should be very proud of herself that she came so close considering those factors. The fact that few people seem to be jumping for joy today about a KP victory says a lot. She was a default choice to many.

It doesn't really matter - but the polls suggested 30% backed her but that doesn't mean the other 70% all hated her. All it means is the other 70% wanted someone to win more than her.

Our government - who runs the country - may well be elected on only 30% of the vote next May.

Agree about the troll vote.
I voted Pricey because it was the ultimate troll vote, not just against Hopkins but against other housemates thinking she didn't deserve it and all the tedious drama that hogged the edit.
Pricey did have to actually get to the final 2 in order to pick up the anti-Hopkins vote so there must be other factors to it aswell.

Which begs the usual question, how many people complaining on the forum actually voted?

Yeah, it just shows what type of people they are by thinking that Katie Price shouldn't have won just because she came in halfway, or a bit earlier, through the series.

Its not spin - its just cold hard logic. KP won because of her fans and profile before she went in not because of what she did in the house - magazines put her on their front cover because she shifts hundreds of thousands of copies.

And last ten minutes of voting couldn't possibly overturn the previous five days - its just not credible.

Maybe there is more to life than hating Katie Hopkins. Because if people ignored her - eventually she would go away - she thrives on making you lot angry and makes loadsamoney by doing so.

So as I said - the joke is on you!

As a proud member of the "Anyone But Hopkins" brigade, I couldn't be happier that Hopkins is such a loser. The fact Pricey won is mostly down to her telling Hopkins to shut up and grow up. That was enough for me to vote her our winner.

No doubt Hopkins will go back to Twitter and start making provocative comments again. It's all she's good for.

And her tv apperances and her Sun column.

She thrives on being controversial - and being liked and loathed. If you don't like her - ignore her.

Because KP wasn`t even in the running until Perez left.. and then her chances increased again when Keith left.

This is why we`re going to be stuck with a Labour government for the next 5 years.. people voting for them just because they want Tories and LibDem out.

BIB And that will still mean that 70% of the voters don't want them to run the country.

As for Hopkins losing, I'd say the final nail in her coffin was her spouting off about KP not deserving to win on last nights show. Fair enough voice your opinion, but the sheer venom behind her tirade showed her up for who she really is.

I agree with all of this.

I have no qualms at all saying I did indeed throw KP a load of votes as an anti-Hopkins vote. I don't know much about KP, I'm not a fan, though I don't dislike her. I voted for her simply because I do not like KH.

Another very good point is the lack of 'jumping for joy', very much like when Helen Wood won. There was no jumping for joy, rather, very shock reactions. This was ( in my opinion ) another huge anti vote, against Ashleigh.

This was me too. Don't particularly have an opinion on Pricey, but thought she seemed nice enough in the house. I only voted for her to stop Hopkins and her henchmen winning and because they were so adamant that one of them deserved to win over Pricey.

Pricey has a fair sized fan base tbh...hopkins said that last night.
But there is some truth that the frozen-faced price won BECAUSE OF hopkins, who snatched defeat from the jaws of victory because she couldn't stop herself making snide remarks about price and the mousey cheggars. Thats what made her vote plummet over the last week or so ...IMO!
