We've been watching it on Austria for a couple of months now, it's been on France since September and also available on Belgium, Germany & Luxembourg too.

Is this that show about eating? where every single scene they pretend to stuff their faces. Chuck Lorre please write one scene just once, where they don't have a load of food in front of them. It's my dying wish, to see just one single episode without them eating.
As others have said we have a 24 hour channel dedicated to it in the UK called E4. |

Watched a few of these last night, and while it's quite amusing, I really wish they'd drop the canned laughter, during the first 3 episodes it became very obvious as they had a gentleman who had a very distinct laugh. I thought America ditched the need for this a long time ago.

i've seen the filming off it and there is no canned laughter
however with all live shows they'll sometime move the laugh from the audience which was recorded on a scene where the technical bits are wrong so that when they refilm it the audience don't obviously give the same reaction. |

Ok, but it's still very annoying to have sooo much laughter in it, even to the point of laughing when nothing funny has really happened.
So while not canned in the true sense, it's very placed and not actually in real time. Example episode 1 The 2 guys go over and introduce themselves, so we get a "hi" and a "hi" back, then a another "hi" and a "hi" back, so mildly amusing in the way it's done etc, for the first time and generates a laughter track. So later on she goes over to their apartment and the same thing happens again, this time it was obvious what was going to happen, and generated another laughter track. It was funny the first time, not so the second time. Its just very annoying and a bit 80's for my taste. But I will stick with it, when I need an odd 30mins or an hour to kill. |

it's well worth sticking with, it gets better (not that i think it was too bad to start with) and compared to a lot of the shite out there it's brilliant.
saying that we are geeks and like to pick holes in it which is half the fun |
