Backing up Nokia lumia 930 with no screen
I have lost the screen to my Nokia 930 due to stupidly dropping in water.
New phone will be arriving in next couple of hours. old phone will connect to pc via Windows Phone app and so photos are ok and in fact were backed up to OneDrive in any case and contacts backed up to cloud. But in terms of doing a restore for everything else I would have normally selected "back up" on the handset which obviously today I cannot do as no screen. Is there a way of doing this via the PC please? |

When I got my 820 back from repair it automatically restored everything back from the cloud after I logged in with my Windows ID. Takes a while (a two cup task) but easy peasy.

If you had set up the back up process on it, it will ask you if you want to set up the new phone using the latest backup when you enter your MS account (BTW make sure date and time on the phone are set correctly, otherwise the phone gives you mysterious error messages, been there done that). If you had Cortana, you could probably order her to make the backup now
There's a programme called Nokia Software Recovery Tool, I know you can flash an OS with it, if you are lucky it can create a backup, too.
