It's funny, my local Tesco had the medium bars (110g) on "reduced to clear" at 75p so I bought two, and I was thinking even they didn't taste the same! I just had the normal Dairy Milk ones.

Hi all, I joined to add this post.

The flake recipe has definitely changed because it now contains 25% cocoa solids and 14% milk solids which is the same as the twirl and the wispa.

The flake always used to be the same as the dairy milk which is 20% cocoa solids and 23% milk solids. The story is that the excess chocolate ended up with this texture as it came out of the dairy milk moulds.

So that's why the new flake tastes like a twirl. I also noticed that the new flake is not crumbly at all. Whenever I ate an old flake the bits went everywhere.

I remember the dark flake, I think there was a limited edition white one as well.
Kit Kats are horrible these days too, far too sweet, even the dark choc ones.

SNOW FLAKE! Used to love them with the yellow and light blue wrapper and the praline ones with the nutty bits! Cadbury has got rid of some nice chocolates in the past
