Last year I created polls for every Doctor prior to Capaldi in order to find out your favourite story for each Doctor. This one is for the Twelfth Doctor's stories so far.

Please note: The poll can sometimes take a while to appear.

This poll will be open for 7 days.

Listen or Last Christmas... Difficult choice. I guess I'll vote for Last Christmas!

A close second is "Mummy on the Orient Express".
But I'd have to go with "Flatline". It just got so much right.

The monsters were inventive, well realized with the visuals, and I like how it touches on the idea that they are unwittingly hurting people, only to subvert it, which led to one of the best Doctor speeches of the whole show, which really cemented Capaldi in the role for me.

The gimmick of having the TARDIS shrink was not only an inventive way to get around a Doctor-light episode, but led to so much fun visual humour. Plus it gave way to one of Clara's better episodes; she was really likable in this one.

On top of all that, it touches on the arcing plot just enough without being intrusive, has fun supporting characters, its just dark enough, but most importantly of all, its fun fun, fun-fun Fun!!! And that's what really matters.

Hmmm. Tricky. Am watching the BBC3 repeats at present and finding them very enjoyable, especially in retrospect now that I've seen all of Peter C's episodes and have really got used to him in the part. Actually, watched 'Listen' today and enjoyed it again, but with more understanding of where they went with Twelve and Clara. If that makes any sense! But for now, I'd say it's between Mummy, Flatline and Last Christmas.

Thinks....

Voted Mummy on the Orient Express. Today.

Easy one for me, has to be Listen. To me its one of the best Doctor Who stories every written. Gets better with every re-watch and gives me goosebumps each time. Totally perfect story.

Listen, Mummy, Flatline & Dark Water all have certain things which I rate with the best of modern Who (and ultimately bring Series 8 to the top of the Moffat era pile for me). Unfortunately, I find that Death in Heaven really drags that finale story down, so I can't vote for it.

Flatline is up there, and even for a supposedly Doctor-lite story, Capaldi shines. But it has to come down between Mummy and Listen.

What Listen does, it does really well. I've probably already watched it more than any episode since 2008. "Scared is a superpower" is perhaps my favourite 12 interaction. But Mummy does more and does it just as well. What a way to introduce a new writer to the series. So more of this please. A real romp.

Mummy on the Orient Express, it is!

I liked Listen, Flatline, Mummy on the Orient Express, Time Heist and Last Christmas, but Last Christmas is when Peter C's Doctor becomes more likeable, so Last Christmas it is!

I voted deep breath best of a poor lot. I have just finished watching the dvd boxset and can say I liked mummy on the orient express, the caretaker, flatline and dark water, the rest absolute rubbish including listen which I just don't get at all and the disappointing finale death in heaven. Im still waiting to see last Christmas properly as I watched on Christmas day with everyone talking so can't really comment on that one yet.

I voted 'Robot' because it was light-hearted for a change and fun! Looks like I'm the only one so far!!
I loved a lot of others too though!
ALL were better than the previous series dreary mixed-up plots!!

Definitely Flatline. I enjoyed seeing the Doctor try to get out of the shrunken Tardis. Plus, I thought it was funny when Clara noticed a place sign and said, "Doctor! We're in Bristol!"

The beginning was quite creepy when the bloke using his phone ended up in the wall. Also, the 'monster' absorbing people and objects into the floor was a good effect. I felt a bit unnerved watching it. Doctor Who can do that sometimes, especially with iconic monsters like the Daleks and the Weeping Angels.

It's not the first time that The Tardis has been shrunk before. I saw the DVD of Logopolis in 2013, and I remember Tom Baker's Doctor's face, looking worried, after the Blue box was made smaller. Tegan and Nyssa tried to get the Doctor's attention by showing an equation to him, so the Tardis could get bigger again.

I went for Mummy on the Orient Express. It was an impressive episode from Jamie Mathieson (though Flatline I feel is average at best, and rather overrated) - in fact it was one of the episodes I was looking forward to much less for the series, as it sounded horrendously gimmicky. But, against all odds it worked. And Capaldi probably had more to do in this one than any episode before it too.

I'd put Last Christmas in second place. It was a hugely enjoyable special, which was unexpected because again, I wasn't really looking forward to watching it. In truth, I enjoyed all but a handful of episodes from Series 8 and hope Series 9 is better still. The Capaldi/Coleman pairing is my favourite since Tennant/Tate and I can't decide which I like the most (I guess it'll depend on how Series 9 unfolds) and Capaldi himself is my favourite Doctor since Eccleston

Voted 'Deep Breath', because I think it's about as perfect a linear story as Moffat's ever told. Plus it looked amazing. And I like the Paternoster Gang.

But I thought Flatline was truly dreadful, I'm genuinely surprised that anyone likes it at all. For me, it's as bad as Fear Her and In The Forest Of The Night. (I watched it twice, just to be sure I wasn't in a bad mood the first time round!)

Vive les differences, eh...

It's a toss up between Listen, Mummy and Dark Water and all for different reasons.

I think I'll go for Dark Water. A deliciously dark Python esque episode. Moffat's concept and dialogue is bang on the money.

Dark water was for me a simply fantastic episode. I don't think I need to elaborate as the episode speaks for its self.

Deep Breath was the best of a bad bunch. The lesser of twelve evils, you might say.

Peter's best performance, IMO, is in Deep Breath. He's never quite as good as he is there. (Particularly when he faces down the Half Face Man towards the end.)

Voted Last Christmas. Best effort so far I think. Capaldi seemed completely settled in and actively enjoying the role, it was one of a small few where Clara wasn't overbearing, and it was actuallly scary in parts and felt like there was real potential peril for the characters.

Mummy on the orient express comes a close second though.

Still find the total love for Mummy a bit puzzling. At the time even its biggest fans were raising questions which they assumed would be answered later in the season. They weren't and I'm assuming won't be next season (could be wrong). Which leaves me thinking that while a flashy looking and atmospheric episode, and Capaldi's best performance up to that time, the ending was rushed and ill explained.

Deep Breath and Dark Water both blew me away. Moffat at his best.

My favourite episode for the performance of Capaldi is Deep Breath, with a close second perhaps being The Caretaker and then possibly Into the Dalek, an episode I didn't otherwise greatly care for.

Contenders for his best scene to date are, for me:

The restaurant scene in Deep Breath.

The showdown with the clockwork man in Deep Breath.

The opening TARDIS scene with Journey Blue in Into the Dalek.

The opening TARDIS scene with Maeve in Forest of the Night.

His first encounter with Danny Pink in The Caretaker.

The final scene of Mummy on the Orient Express, on the beach with Clara.

Difficult to decide between Mummy, Flatline and Listen. However Mummy got my vote partly as Clara was less obvious and she wasn't centre stage so much, giving the Doctor more room and time to be himself. Okay in Flatline they were essentially separated the whole time but the main focus was on Clara, Listen was wonderful but Mummy just edges it for a few more memorable moments.

My fave is Time Heist.

The Doctor pretending not to know, even though he does but then he doesn't because he can't remember, so a predicament but all gets sorted eventually. Clara, have faith in The Doctor, he knows what he is doing, sometimes.
