I think it's an obvious nod.... but it does work in the song

Fantastic song! Just turned on one of the music channels and heard it. I love it and I only heard the last minute of it, pop perfection! Deserves no1, SO catchy!
I really like it! Love that he's gone down this style of music but not surprised as it really suits him. Definitely gonna try get tickets for his tour.
His voice is really distinctive, one of my favourite XF contestants ever. Complete travesty that he didn't win in that godawful year. Really hope this song will be a success.

He isn't on either Radio 1 or Radio 2's playlists.
Although Shayne Ward and Stacey Solomon are both on radio 2s playlist.
