That would have been cool
didn't Walt and Jesse (the actors who play them...) come out and say straight up that they're not involved in the first season.

the key part being THE FIRST SEASON....

we'll see

Aron Paul did mention he'd been approached to be in the series but it fell through. Not sure how it would work as he's going to be 16 years or so to old to play himself, he's what 16 or 17 at the start of breaking bad, and BCS takes place 6 years before so he'd need to be 12 or so.

Plus Walt and Jessie had never met him before, so they'd have to play secondary roles, ie in the background or just connected to a main character.

They may get mentions ie a guys arrested with drugs and he mentions he bought them from a kid called Jessie, or someone mentions their kids enjoy chemistry with that nice Mr White

Jesse did know Saul before they met. Certainly knew he was a 'criminal' lawyer so maybe they had dealings or maybe a friend of his did! Perhaps his partner who got arrested in the raid that Walt joined Hank on?

Ah I can't remember, I was wondering when I typed that, how they met. Thinking now wasn't it about how Jessie was using Saul to launder his money, so yes he knew him, but perhaps not when he was 10/12 or so.

Yes they did, doesn't make the scenario described by Philip Wales any less cool though

Are you using a proxy to access US Netflix? They won't have it until the entire series has been shown on AMC in the US.

Anyway, I loved both episodes.

Yes, not flagged up at all on their featured shows but only had to get as far as "B" on the search to get it.

I was quite underwhelmed by the first episode especially to be honest. The second was better and it's worth sticking with I'm sure. I didn't see what the fuss was about with Breaking Bad from the first few episodes but once it hit it's stride it was sublime. Hopefully it'll be the same here.

Intro is absolute crap though - I know nowadays they're as short as anything but this just wasn't worth it.

I'm loving this. I expected it to be good because Breaking Bad was consistently excellent and Saul is a great character, but I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I've enjoyed both episodes so far.

I thought the last 20 mins of ep 2 were especially good. I love Mike even though he hasn't really done anything yet

Chuck....I assume he's a relative of Jimmy's? That hasn't actually been said, has it? Although I assume Chuck has the same surname?

According to Wikipedia

The first season consists of ten episodes, and the series has been renewed for a second season of 13 episodes, to premiere in early 2016

I liked both episodes but felt that the second one was a lot better.
I love the interaction between Saul/Jimmy and Mike

Saul lost it and got quite paranoid after Mike threatened to break his legs in Breaking Bad...

...must have told him about one day he had in the desert

I'm really enjoying watching Better Call Saul, I thought the first episode was a little slow, but only until Tuco appeared !.

It has a real Breaking Bad feel to it, and after episode 2, breaking bread sticks will never be quite the same again !.

Lots of brilliant lines like "I'm a great lawyer, I got your death sentence commuted to probation", And " The only way your car is worth $500 is if it has a $300 hooker inside"

Just watched the first two episodes of this.

I'd say it's kind of like BB and set in the same universe but kind of different. The characterisation is as fantastic as BB and I thoroughly enjoyed both episodes and it will be very interesting to watch him slowly become Saul.

Couldn't get into episode 1 other than finding the students doing naughty things to a cut off head weirdly funny. Now episode 2 was a different matter - loved it!

Wasn't a fan of the character Saul Goodman in BB, but think I'll stick with this as it looks well written & darkly witty. Pleased Mike Ermentrout (or however its spelt?) is going to play a major part in the show & look forward to seeing how his relationship with Saul/Jimmy develops.

Better Call Saul episode 3 hits Netflix today. Jimmy is continuing his transformation into the Saul we know and love. But can it possibly go smoothly? And what's really up with his brother, anyway?

Jimmy is eager to prove that his dangerous client is innocent.
How are you finding the show two weeks in?

yeah I really liked the first two episodes. It's cool that they elude to the fact Saul is still on the run in the future, and we will get to see what happens to Saul in the end.

Nice to see Mike in there too, I'm definitely invested and going to watch the rest of the series
