Obviously some people wasn't paying attention to the foreshadowing at the start with Saul and his conman to realise he did the same thing at the end of it

So far I don't think the show is remotely comparable to Breaking Bad. It's more of a weekly, comedic adventure that has a few story arcs than the epic, slow burning drama that BB was. I enjoy it for what it is but i'm not really invested in the story at the moment.

Loved the opening with all of Jimmy's potential new clients this week.

Emma was very pleased about her correct prediction about what would happen to Chuck after last week's shenanigans.

So far we're liking the lighter tone of BCS. Breaking Bad is Breaking Bad, and it's great, but Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould have done well at turning their hands to a comedy.

This weeks wasn't that great. Very slow and shorter than the other episodes. It did leave us on the cliffhanger with Mike though which hopefully leads to something.

Five episodes in and I'm a happy BCS fan. The similarity in how the show is produced and directed with BB was extremely annoying at first. I expected to see Walter or Jesse appear at any given moment which was just too weird! Now I'm loving the show. Love the giggly moments & the lol moments plus its great to see how Jimmy McGill become Saul Goodman.

I agree it was slower but I still enjoyed it, interesting last 5 minutes with Mike

Best episode yet. If i'm being honest the series has been a tad slow for my tastes but tonights was fantastic.

I hope it becomes a two hander with Mike and Saul being co-leads kinda like Breaking Bad was at times.

Great Mike-centred episode. This show just gets better and better.

I love this show. Stylish, witty, intriguing, I could watch it all day.

Now we know why Mike was a hard nosed grump, he had every right to be.

I am enjoying the pace of the show, it is quite well balanced at the moment.

I am looking forward to some courtroom comedy from Saul, he is at his best when he is putting cops in their place with some nice insults.

I don't want to see much more of Chuck, I think he will be killed off soon, and that will give Saul the freedom to spread his wings.

I think he's more likely to be sectioned, or placed in a secure care home of some kind.

I doubt it. Obviously something's going to happen but it's been implied strongly that if anything were to happen to Chuck, be it death or sectioned, then his share of the big legal firm would go to Saul and from BB I didn't get the impression he was sitting on millions of dollars. That being said it'll all have to be wrapped up somehow with the obvious lack of reference to either in BB.

Excellent episode today. Always found Mike an interesting character and was good to see how he was shaped into the person we saw in BB. The whole episode had a darker feel. If Saul and Mike are now the main features it's definitely going the right way.

I have a feeling that given enough time, the law firm will find a way to sleaze their way out of their obligations and wipe out Chuck's equity for a fraction of the true value. They may be on shaky legal footing, but Chuck would be too sick to fight it. Saul wouldn't be able to marshal the same resources as the law firm, and since he'd still only be representing Chuck rather than himself, he'd be limited by what Chuck is willing to let him do.

I'm imagining chuck getting better and with Sauls help getting full control of the company then Chuck finds out about Slippin' Jimmys return and cuts him off while taking the law firm to LA or NY. So many ways it could go, looking forward to seeing the outcome!

A bit of a change of pace this week.

Happy to see Mike taking centre stage and finally getting a look into his past. That explains a few things, right?

Yes this episode had the same feel as much of Breaking Bad , more edgy and with slightly less of the slapstick. I always though Mike was an excellent character and I'm sure he'll help in keeping Saul focused on the important things.

Having recently rewatched some Breaking Bad episodes, I was surprised at how far removed the character of Saul is to Jimmy. Jimmy is a decent guy with aspirations, generally good intentions and a minor, almost invisible sleazy edge.

Saul in BB is an out and out crook. It'll be very entertaining to see that transition.

I miss Saul, Jimmy is a bit boring for me, I want to see Saul in full flow.

Also don't like Chuck, I hope he dissapears.

Is a lawyer allowed legally to change their name and keep on practicing? If Jimmy McGill is a qualified lawyer, how can he just change his name to Saul Goodman and keep on working as a lawyer, even though no one called Saul Goodman ever passed the bar and qualified as a lawyer.

Found myself a bit bored for the first time with "Bingo", don't really enjoy the Kettlemens stuff, OTT characters.
Still every other episode has been either very good, or great, only three to go.

I really enjoyed this episode again. I liked the Kettlemen stuff, Jimmy's witty retorts and digs about them being deluded thieves, especially to the wife were excellent!

I hope Chuck continues to normalise. I'm not the biggest fan of the shots in his dark, dingy house.

I'm intrigued as to what will happen next. In Breaking Bad, Saul thrives on being a crook. In BCS, he clearly just wants to be a legit business man complete with professional-looking offices and high level staff/partners like Kim. It was sad to see this dream dashed when he was so close to it in this episode, but you know that was all built on dodgy bribe money. Jimmy is clearly going to be taking a lot more set backs before he 'becomes' Saul - he'll have to get really pissed off with his lot if he is going to go from reasonable, ambitious guy with a dodgy streak (Jimmy) to being all-out dodgy, money-motivated Saul.

Well we have to build to that as this is showing that he wants the big time but keeps failing when he tries to do it the good way and there will come a time when he breaks bad.

All this is why he went that way as he has tried the nice way.

Loved last week's ep but happy to get back to the main story.

Jimmy's lesson about 'doing the right thing' is depressing, agreed. In some ways his descent is harder to watch than Walt's. Jimmy seems to genuinely want to be good (or at least goodish) where Walt was motivated by pride and just pretended it was 'all for his family'.
