I'm not sure anything is going to beat 'stop calling Richard, you're not the father'!

What a fascinating insight into the lives of children, however if I were the parents of Chaim and sykla I would be reevaluating my parenting techniques, because these children are going to have big problems throughout school with their sense of entitlement and preciousness! Especially Chaim, he us greedy and a bully, and needs to be directed with better discipline before he becomes the child that is dreaded in every class.
I get the feeling that Chaims parents will think he is just being a "lad "
It will be his downfall I fear

I would love to have seen more - shame it was just a one off.

Please can we follow the children like in 7-Up?

I would love to see how they all develop.
That's a really good idea!

Watching on +1. I hope that Chaim kid's parents are suitably ashamed of their parenting. Doubt it though.

I think Skyla needs to be around children more. She seems to be lacking some empathy, but she'll learn how to respond to other kids. At the moment it seems like she doesn't full relate. I think Chaim's parents really need to change their attitude to their golden boy before he gets older. I think they are the cause of his problems. They have the guilt of parents who do not spend enough time with their children.

I can't help wondering if there was an adult linked to Jessica cringeing with embarrassment when they heard that.......

Haha he's like 4/5 years old right. Might be a little early to predict his downfall, just because he stole another kids sweets.

If his parents excuse his behaviour it will be his downfall was my point . Any kid not checked will run with it

Too funny. And the way she finishes off with 'Talk to you later, bye,' in such a cheery manner.

I suspect you'd do better listening to the professionals at the end, they've got a clue what they're talking about.

It wasn't just that though was it?

They showed several occasions where he threw his weight around and used his size to take things away from other people. He has a bad attitude and it does need addressing sooner rather than later - if only because he will not make friends if he continues to be a greedy bully.

Also, the longer he continues to behave that way without any intervention the more difficult it will be to snap him out of it.

I dunno if it's that black and white. I knew a lot of people who had pretty terrible behaviour in both primary and secondary school. Way worse than that kid. Turned out pretty alright in the end.

Anyway judging a bunch of 4 year olds in such dept just seems a little silly to me.

Skyla's obnoxious. So self- centred.

Surely all four years olds are self-centred!

I loved this show, and I have no idea why it wasn't longer, especially when they tried say 'look how much they've changed' in too short a programme.

The 'professionals' admitted at the end that they had never before observed a group of children in this manner. It made me wonder if they actually had children themselves, and how much time they spend with them.

I reserve most of my judgement for the parents to be honest

The son of the Israeli, Chaim (sp?) was a nasty piece of work.
Bet his parents are embarrassed after tonight.

Skyla just reminds me of the typical 3rd Gen Windrush kids I grew up with in London. Rude and nasty.

I thought Christian was a gem of kid.

Sorry, how many parents have access to nursery, a camera crew and a load of mics.
Firstly Children don't behave in the same way at home, as they do in a group situation, then you add in the authority figure of the Teacher lurking in the background, in this instance rather than front and centre.
Maybe if you had kids of your own and watched them interacting in the playground, you'd have noticed how different they are to being at home.

The professions probably observe from the back of the class when the Teacher is front and centre and without the mic's so they're not getting the unguarded conversations.
Probably not advisable for them to use their own children as test subjects either.

I do have children, and you miss my point. If you have children (and you are active with them) you cannot help but be in environments where there are other children. I did not mention siblings. If you are a volunteer at school or nursery, or if you take your children's friends on trips to the park, parties etc. you get used to the way they are. That's why I wondered when the professional said that he had not previously observed children in a group setting. I suppose that's why they compared kids behaviour to adult behaviour, which is something they appear to know more about.

Am I the only person horrified by this discussion? The irony of a pack of adults jeering publicly at a four year old boy who wasn't capable of informed consent for appearing on this programme. A witch hunt of sneering bullies calling him vile names and branding him the bully. I think people need to look at themselves. This isn't Big Brother, it is a vulnerable child. You should be ashamed of yourselves. This whole thread needs to be deleted. It is a child protection issue. Wrong on every level.
