Am I the only person horrified by this discussion? The irony of a pack of adults jeering publicly at a four year old boy who wasn't capable of informed consent for appearing on this programme. A witch hunt of sneering bullies calling him vile names and branding him the bully. I think people need to look at themselves. This isn't Big Brother, it is a vulnerable child. You should be ashamed of yourselves. This whole thread needs to be deleted. It is a child protection issue. Wrong on every level.

Tamara, did Chaim force you to write that nonsense before he sent you to bed?
Maybe be a proper mother so he doesn't bully innocent and vulnerable children.

You joined DS just to post that? Demanding deletion of a thread in one post? Teach your child not to throw his considerable weight around with smal chidren. |

A really enjoyable hour's television.
Some perspective here, we saw for perhaps 30 minutes once you take away the ads and the talking heads. I doubt if there was anything unexpected to the experts, most things are described as stereotypes because they are true, so we have the boy with full-time working parents looking for attention and always pushing the boundaries. Then there's the boy from a creative background wanting to complete a task and the girl from a strong family looking forward to providing the same stability for her children. Great stuff. |

Am I the only one who noticed the unfortunate irony of Chaim's mother stating that her "husband idolizes him" and that "the icing on the cake was that he was a beautiful blonde haired blue eyed boy" .
I am perhaps making assumptions here but aren't Chaim and Moshe (the father) names of Jewish origin? ![]() Anyhoo that child is in desperate need of some serious parental intervention. He is most definitely using his size to intimidate and bully the others. At the body boarding area he was pushing himself right into Luke's face; getting closer and closer until Luke had to turn away. For me that was extremely uncomfortable to watch, all the little guy had done was ask for a shot afterwards

I suspect you'd do better listening to the professionals at the end, they've got a clue what they're talking about.
In the field of child psychology and childhood studies, there are only theories as to why children behave the way they do. With numerous variable contributing to their behaviours, one can only have an opinion as to why a child may behave in that way. |

As a parent of three boys now aged 20, 18 and 7 I've got things right and I've got things wrong..and I've also witnessed different approaches from other parents along the way. .I've had one head strong child, ,one sensitive and shy child and one well behaved but very stubborn child. I reeled in the behaviour of the hwadstrong child who found everything naughty very funny..I tried to give the shy child as much confidence as possible and I stand my ground with the stubborn child..I love them all but if I hadn't put the time and effort into the headstrong one when he was little I dread to think how I would have dealt wkth a 15 year old towering over me telling me what to do!..I boosted the shy child's confidence so he didn't hit his teens feeling inadequate. .and im still working on my 7 year olds stubborn streak. .as parents its our job to attempt to turn our children into decent adults..Without altering their whole personality. Teachers nursery staff etc are just our back up. If chaim was my child..thwn yes I would be making an effort to teach him how what is acceptable behaviour and what isnt..no shame in how your young child behaves. .we need to get over that. .There is shame in parents who see the behaviour and do nothing to help their child. . |

There is no witch hunt, however there are observations on some of the parents parenting techniques. Shock at the attitudes of a child and advise, albeit anecdotal on possible consequences of this childs behaviour, and yes I'm referring to the most dominant of the children in that show. |

I loved this show
I wish my parents filmed me at that age would have been interesting to watch.I was thinking the same ![]() I wish I could see how I behaved at that age & compare it to how I behave now. My memories of been that age are very vague now. |

Well I wouldn't go that far, but yeah I felt a bit strange about the whole program. Pointing at a 4 year old and saying stuff like "oh yeah he's a wrong un" just seems beyond laughable to me.
More disturbingly this will continue into adult life. I found the Chaims face to face confrontation with a smaller boy very disturbing. you can laugh it off if you want but the fact he is 4yr old makes it more worrying. |

The only child protection issue I see here is preventing you from unfettered Internet access without adult supervision.😝 if you are the parent of a particular child then I suggest you lack the nuance to be a good parent. |

Loved it, partly because my daughter teaches kids of 4-5 and it's an insight into her working day.
There must have been auditions of some sort, unless they rounded up the first dozen families they came across. I suspect they deliberately planted one kid who was obnoxious to highlight how delightful the others were. What on earth were his parents doing getting entrapped like that? |

I could only put up with a few minutes of this. It seemed more a contrived situation to make a cheap programme, rather than a worthwhile scientific experiment.

Contrived? You think they instructed the young liberal kid to hit the girl who would not share her scooter for ratings?

Rather a shame the program was a one-off, maybe they could have stretched out more and been a more neutral with the voice over, but that's TV I suppose. |

I think that Chaim by end of the programme has improved.
I think that the likelihood is that he is a very clever lad and needs to be stimulate |

It takes a long time for a child to learn a lesson and I really liked his card to Skyla at the end.
I work with children who are much, much more 'troublesome' than Chaim, and its usually not their fault at all. Its a combination of factors. |

Do you think the kids were chosen at random, or were they "suitable cases for treatment," like any other reality show? |

Christian's a cool kid but this programme has definitely cemented my position of not wanting to breed in the future. Chaim needs to be dumped in the middle of a desert somewhere.
