Chaim's evil is more to his with his extreme Israeli dad and weird mum than him being born that way. I am sure if Chaim was born to more sensible parents he would be a lot more friendly.

At the end of the day, the kid is only 4 years old and is used to getting his own way at home, and being able to intimidate other kids - and yes, he showed spoiled and bullying behaviour, which hopefully he can be taught to change.

And Skyla is used to attention and not used to socialising with other children - yet - although she was starting to by the end.

I believe that part of the reason for the programme was that the researchers were studying the impact of early years/pre-school education and demonstrating how important an impact it has in helping to socialise children. I'd agree with them on that.

Skyla just reminds me of the typical 3rd Gen Windrush kids I grew up with in London. Rude and nasty.
Thought Christian was 'sweet' so I'm guessing the FM has no problems with West Africans (I'm guessing their origins though).

His father's religion despises any 'goyim', not fit to shake their hands, they are treated with disdain and are disrespectful to any not of their culture/beliefs. Chaim has therefore no respect for any other race but his own, his father is atypical of that culture. Therefore - Chaim is destined to be a bully, and to think of himself as 'superior' forever.
Pathetic. If the parents are to integrate him into real equal society, he needs to be 're-educated' away from this 'superior' factor. As for now, he is a despicably spoiled young lad who will eventually be hoisted with his own petard! Madame will be knitting under his tumbril? Shape up folks - integrate or be disassociated!

I work in a primary school albeit in KS2 but the KS1 teachers were saying these children were very articulate and sophisticated and they don't really reflect the children in Foundation in our school.

Well I just want to say I've no idea about half the background and religious reasons people are putting up here (please let's not make this another religious debate thread) but I will say this. Chaim came across poorly, though the sorry card and bunny bit were cute. Skyla did as her parents expected, fake cried and acted bratty. This being said they're 4!!! I mean we got to see all the different types of 4 year olds. The ones we see as sweet trying to befriend skyla , who to her is seen as a pest. The one who's "the old man". The ones who are bossy. It's just 4 year olds.

I know several people who were a pain at the age of 4 and are perfectly nice people now. But there isn't going to be film of them being annoying 4 year olds on YouTube for ever more.
For this reason I feel a little ill at ease about this programme, however well intentioned it may be. Some people would do anything to be "on telly".

Huh?? Don't beat about the bush...say what you really think! The only bullying behaviour I saw came from Chaim....think you may have the situation somewhat twisted.

I did not see the adults jeering publicly at Chaim - when? where? His parents put him forward...clearly doting on him. I think they must have had a shock seeing how HE bullied the other children. When he first snatched the toy from a child and was confronted about it (i.e. questioned about it, no jeering involved) he learnt something....the staff member said "did you ask them?" He clearly hadn't.

The occasion where he stole the chocolate from Skyla was when he applied this bit of knowledge, i.e. he asked if he could have some and - whilst she was dithering - took it anyway.

I don't see how your rationale applies to the situation of Chaim meeting other new kids....i.e. he didn't ask if they were Jewish or not did he?

I have read all the posts on this show and just want to say that I thought the entire show was absolutely enchanting. I found the children totally adorable, a real credit to their parents. Chaim is only 4 and has no brothers or sisters to share toys with. He will learn as he goes along.

He's got two sisters, one older a lot bigger than him and one younger, both boisterous according to his mother and they looked it from the 30 seconds or so of the VT we saw.
He's used to getting physical at home and used to getting it back from his siblings was my impression.

Seen both. Chaim displayed a lot of total lack of empathy as the child in Omen, Damien Thorn.

Painful difference being for the ultra-liberals to digest, is that Damien's viciousness was the result of the 'devil,' Chaim's is clearly the result of his mum and dad. Also it is pretty obvious he was asked to make that card for Skyla.

I think the program was great, though I would have preferred to see more of Christian's parents. They have raised a very nice boy.
