I am thinking of cancelling my Sky subscription, but the one thing I'd really miss is Eurosport.

I have a large LED TV and the Eurosport Player appears to be available in HD.

What is my best bet for a device I can connect to my TV to watch it?

I use my Xbox 360 as this has the 3hr rewind available on it,or I airplay from my Ipod touch 5th gen to my Apple TV 3.I wish it was on my Amazon Fire TV (maybe able to sideload but out of my depth yet with that),it is due to come on Chromecast soon but still we wait for it to be on other devices.

One option is an inexpensive Android tablet that has HDMI connectivity such as the Tesco Hudl. Until I got BT TV with BT Sport (for MotoGP) which includes Eurosport I used Eurosport Player for the superbike coverage. One feature it has (which the BT Sport app would be improved by) is the three hour catch up buffer so you have some flexibility over when you watch including Pause and Resume.

If I bought a Hudl and watched Eurosport HD on there and connected it to my LED HD ready TV, would that, too be a HD picture?

I don't think Eurosport Player does HD channels anymore. Used to. No longer have an active subscription so can't check.

Eurosport Player is in HD but it depends on the device used as to what is displayed.
