4G EE in Norwich
I am so disappointed by my move from Three to EE so far in terms of data speeds. I was under the impression I would get more of a premium experience as EE promotes 4G and double speeds in the city. Yet I've had problems even watching a vine on my iPhone 6 Plus!
In the centre of the city on 4G I've had between 3Mbps and 6Mbps download speeds most evenings and between 1Mbps and 5Mbps upload speeds. This morning it was slightly better with 6Mbps download speeds but nothing compared to what I can get on 3G in rural areas! EE didn't seem too phased when I told them this but I assumed originally it was a fault. I thought I was going to get a better quality service than this. Is this other people's experience in Norwich? |

Yeah that is fairly surprising considering the network there. Which iPhone iOS are you on? Is it contract or PAYG? Have you rebooted the phone?

It's a new sim only contract with a new sim. It's supposed to be a 4G double speed. It's iOS 8.1.2. Must just be me then...!

Try a Reboot on the phone (holding power & home button till it reboots), try a new server on the speed test app you are using or download Coverage Map (rootmetrics) and let me know what speeds it's showing. Rootmetrics tests do not come off your data allowance. |

It's an average... Likely most done before DS as they are similar in speed to O2/Three but not as comparable as they've only seen a few tests in comparison to the 444 of EE4G.
The 3G+ Average is 6.5.. (Three is 7!) |
