I am absolutely obsessed with Jamaican Mule's at the moment. I'm always making cocktails at home, but Jamaican Mule's are my favourite. Cut a lime in half. Squeeze the juice of one half into the bottom of a high ball glass. Add ice. Add dark rum (I wouldn't recommend using Bacardi). Top up with ginger beer and stir everything together. Finally drop the other half of the lime into the glass. I also make Mojito's at home a lot but not as often as I always forget to buy mint!!

Not sure what I define as a cocktail or not.

Is rum & coke a cocktail? Add a squeeze of lime and then that makes it one?

Vodka, ginger beer and lemonade is a refreshing drink. (Also works with bourbon or golden rum)

As for a full on cocktail then Long Island Iced Tea by far is my favourite.

A dry Martini. When it's made properly, nothing else comes close.

Porn Star Martini (but only from one place - that has now closed down )

Nowhere else that has it on the menu has ever made it anywhere as nice as the place it originated from.

Peach Schnapps, white wine, lemonade, slice of lime, and close variations. Different places call it different things, I don't know the official name.

This one. I've been making it regularly for a few months now and it's fantastic.

Pina Coladas. Yes I know they're 80s... but after a trip to the Caribbean I am obsessed with them.

Aviation's are the best followed by a Last Word and then a Corpse Reviver no 2 (followed by a drunken stagger to bed )

I don't know if it's classed as a cocktail but I'm obsessed with amaretto sours.

I also love a good piņa colada or frozen strawberry daiquiri.

I'm not a massive fan of cocktails or spirits in general, I prefer my ales. I will give something a try if it's a bit different though and whilst in America I had a Smoked Bacon Old Fashioned which was bacon infused bourbon, maple syrup and bitters. I was great! I've been meaning to make some bacon infused bourbon ever since but haven't quite got round to it yet.

As a lover of Bacon and Bourbon that sounds amazing.

Now if only they could get peanut butter in it as well.

It was rather good. I asked how they infused the bourbon and they do it using the fat which sounds a bit disgusting but it tasted amazing.

You basically fry some bacon off and pour the liquid fat into the bourbon. You then freeze it overnight (or longer) which gives time for the bacon to infuse but will also freeze the fat allowing you to remove it. You then strain it to remove the big bits and pass it through a coffee filter/muslin to get rid of any little dregs.

Maybe you could try a similar method with peanut butter!

I'm not usually a fan of cocktails as I find them too sweet and a lot contain orange juice which I can't drink and I really hate the creamy/milky ones.

In Turtle bay they do a jumbled julep which is vodka, passoa (passion fruit liquor), Apple juice and crushed strawberries n mint. It's really nice and I can quite happily drink them for hours, most cocktails I'll have one of them feel sick

Last night had a highball/cocktail of golden rum, ginger beer, lemonade and lime. Quite a refreshing drink.
