Aggravating iPhone 4 Safari problem
I've had my iPhone 4 since October 2013 and it's beginning to show its age, for want of a better term. Among other issues, the most irritating is the browser's tendency to crash when I'm browsing. It happens nearly every time I access certain sites - Digital Spy being a prime example - but it also happens occasionally on any other site. The screen goes black momentarily before the menu screen appears.
I'm on the verge of taking my sledgehammer to it. Is this a common problem with iPhones, or is there something I should be doing, like clearing some files or something? It's not at full capacity by any means. I'm due an upgrade this October but would like to sort it out before then. |

It could be ads on the site I suppose?
When I visit DS on Safari on my iPhone 5 it crashes sometimes...usually while an X-Box ad is trying to load over the forum list. Chrome is a much better browser IMO. |

I would clear your cache in Settings, as I visit DS quite a lot from my iPhone 6 and haven't had Safari crash. If you have a 4S your latest iOS is 8.1.3, if you have a 4 then latest is 7.1.2 |
