Yeah never have to touch an iPhone, just use it and load it with apps, it never slows down or glitches

I'll compare 8.3 with Lollipop..
Lollipop is perfectly stable on my LG G3. Never had any issues apart from the exclusion of vibrate off when I turn the volume right down.

My 4S did. So not entirely accurate.

I've had apps crash on iOS. Often they just exit without any warning, but that doesn't mean the app didn't crash.

That might not be the fault of Apple in any way of course, but let's not pretend iOS is somehow perfect and never goes wrong.

Likewise, Android apps can crash but in the last year or so (certainly KitKat onwards), I don't think I've ever needed to reboot any of my devices. Yes, I might be forced to force quit some apps which you shouldn't need to do, but never do a full restart. Uptime could likely be measured in months, and the only reason some devices are rebooted is because the battery died or I changed SIM (which nearly always forces a restart).

I'd argue iOS and Android are both incredibly stable OSes now. Ditto Windows Phone.

I've played around with various android phones over the past two years but there was always one thing or another wrong with them. iPhones maybe boring but they are reliable.

Like what?

I mean, most of the bad things on any smart device down to the apps I am using - and most apps are third party ones.

It's certainly true that it's been a LONG time before apps for Android tablets were anyway decent, especially compared to the iPad equivalents - but that's changing quite rapidly. Even the BBC which thought of Android as a platform to support in a half-arsed fashion has really excelled recently.

My biggest issue is the android radio drivers being shit, they drain the battery and crash/force all calls straight to answer phone too often, that only a reboot fixes. I'm not convinced they have improved much over the years.

My first Smartphone (O2 XDA doesnt count really) was a HTC Magic released after the iphone 3g. I was so jealous of the missus's 3g as the Magic was truly shit.

Since then I have owned an iphone4 (3 years - awseome phone), Nexus 5 (6 months use before its role as an alarm clock/car audio was found) and finally an iPhone 6.

So glad to be back on the apple wagon, last weekend I left work at 3pm on friday with 100% battery and still had 24% when I got up on Monday morning, this was with 5.75 hours screen on time and several hours of streaming tune-in without the screen on. The Nexus would of been dead by Saturday lunch time.

So what you are saying is, iOS devices are perfect from day one of a new update or new release!! Haha!

Rubbish.

Your saying android radio drivers which would mean every android phone.

Looks like my g3 beats your iphone 6. My nexus lasted a full day texting, whatsapping and various other things. Over a day at a push

On the flip side, my pals iPhone 5s, he couldn't get a day out of it. Faulty battery it turns out, but did it ever occur to you it might be that instead of stupidly blaming a whole OS.

As for the crashing calls, a full reset would have sorted that as it would have on an iPhone. If it didn't, it would have been a faulty phone. I had a nexus 5 from launch until November last year and I loved it. Never had one call crash or drop.

I do wish people would think of these things instead of bashing any OS without the first clue of what they are taking about.
