Moto G help
Hoping for a bit of advice. I bought a moto g last week. I ordered it from amazon but despite ordering white and the phone having a white sticker on, a black model was in the box. I dont mInd having a black one, but I'm now worried this isn't the 4g model I ordered and instead the old 3g model. I don't live in a 4g area but is there anyway I can check which model I have?

Should be the XT1039 model shouldn't it?
There should be a model number on it somewhere. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moto_G Do you have a 4G SIM in it? Settings should tell you. There'll be an LTE on/off switch I would have thought. |

Go to settings, WiFi and networks, more, mobile phone settings, preferred network type. You should see a choice of 4g or 3g. If so you have a 4g phone.
If you have a 3g phone, the choice is of 2g or 3g. |

I'd compare the IMEI number on the phone (behind back cover) against what's on the box, it'll be different probably, indicating someone has already opened the box and done a switch for some reason.
I'd contact Amazon and get it replaced just to be on the safe side...plus it's not white! |
