Help with FaceTime on the Ipad
Hello, I wondered if anyone could help with this issue.
An elderly friend of my mums has an iPad and uses FaceTime to speak to her family abroad everyday. She is rather forgetful shall we say and over the past couple of years has had to change her Apple id and password on a few occasions. In the past when we've helped her re log in to FaceTime and iMessages there hasn't been a problem. However, on Friday my mum helped her change her Apple id and password again as she had forgotten them and couldn't remember where they were written down from last time. There was no problem changing them. I reinstalled some apps for her so we could update them and all went ok. However, FaceTime and iMessages just won't seem to accept the new Apple id and password. A message comes up saying check your internet connection. I've goggled this issue and the nearest solution I can find is someone suggesting to go into DNS settings and add 8.8.8.8. This is all a bit out of my realms of understanding but when I looked at the DNS settings to give it a go, there was not an option to add the 8.8.8.8. I would have to scrub out the important looking number already in there and type the 8.8.8.8 in place of it. Which obviously I did not do. Well if you've got this far, well done. If you have any suggestions or any help at all I would be very grateful. Thank you

Is it being forced on users? I read it more as being optional. Actually, I've never heard of the my Apple ID website. And I don't even have iTunes on my computer.
What about if you maintain a caller list in Facetime, and usually just click on the username you want to call? |
