Just a thought, but your comments seem on a par with the things she says, does that not worry you?
As for sticking by your convictions, absolutely, everyone should do it.
I am not a fan of those who do the nicey nicey I mustn't upset anyone, they are generally(I hate generalising but hey ho) not to be trusted.
If I ever got Fat for example, it would infuriate me to have people giving it the old, no your not fat etc. I'd sooner someone said jeez dude go on a diet.

Yeah I get that. And it's easy to join in but leads to nowhere in the end I guess. But I've noticed occasionally humour can bring it all back together.

I've also noticed that some posters seem to be happy to move on quite well after which is good too.

There are some strange reactions tho.
You should have seen some of the reaction to my post in the soaps forum where I asked "is there a worse actress on tv than Shabnam in Eastenders?".
You'd think people knew her personally!

I can imagine..

Apart from the doctor who one I've not ventured any further than here. Don't think my days would be very fruitful if I did!

I'M on par with Hopkins with what I say? Please come back to me once I start advocating a bombing campaign against people I don't like.

OK unless you asked someone for their opinion is it really anyone's business to just walk up to you and say "jeez dude go on a diet" like that? And even then there is such a thing as constructive criticisms shock horror. Folks don't HAVE to go into douche-bag mode just to make their point.

Well you did seem to take to heart the fact the I brought up her Palestine comments when someone else said they find her "funny" and her detractors just don't get her "humour".

Not at all - just your misinterpretation.

I just used your type of post to demonstrate how, when on a thread of this ilk, people are asked for their positive comments, only for their comments to be shot down by one of the many detractors.

I know I wouldn't bother to respond to an OP like this if I had a decent word to say about KH.

Fair point, I have not noticed you advocating bombing, but as you are fully aware that was not what I meant, I shall not waste further time with it, you seem reasonable astute, so I can only assume you are fully aware that some of your comments DO put you on a par with KH.

Sometimes that is the only thing that works, as for the opinion, we are all entitled to one, just as we are all entitled to share that opinion. My point, as you are no doubt aware was that I would prefer honesty over the "sickly sweet nice to your face because I don't want people to think I'm bad brigade"

Not my comment to comment on, although I will say, it is ok to agree with some of her comments and not all of them, can't say I agree with this one at all.
Let me put it this way, do you agree with absolutely everything your friends say and do?

For some reason my replies ended up in your quote, not as IT savvy as I thought

Fair enough I apologise for the misunderstanding.

And which comments are those exactly? Last time I checked, I've never had a go and mocked people who did anyone any harm and are just getting on with their own life in peace. Please explain because I'm not quite sure what comments I made you meant?

But does that really work? Honestly? Surely someone would just think the person's an uncalled for jerk and not actually listen to their "honest" opinion because of it no? And as for the "nicey, nice, so nice it's fake" folks they're always spotted from a mile away anyway and even then I personally don't think they're even THAT much of a big deal anyway. So what if they're overly nice? Rather that than some obnoxious loud mouth who thinks they're "telling it like it is" (they're REALLY not).

But I will say this, it's a bit sad it has to be reduced to 2 extremes like above no? Either overly nice and fake or obnoxious loud mouth and honest? I personally prefer the middle ground, where folks treat others well and exactly how they want to be treated but will give constructive criticism when needs to be. But hey ho that's just me.

True, I don't agree with my friends on everything (realistically who does?) but hey at least my friends don't venture into bigotry and hate speech territory and neither do they start on those who did them no harm (which I'm forever thankful for).

Only another woman could make that comment.
That is most definitely not the sort of figure, top half or bottom that I or any other man i know would find in the slightest bit attractive.
She has the legs and torso of a skinny man and a couple of bones where her bum cheeks should be.

I think you misinterpret which part of her personality people don't appreciate. I have no problem with her absurd statements/generalisations as it's all part of the character she plays and makes a living from.
It's the hiding behind that character to vocalises her true inner thoughts by being nasty, vindictive, childish and bullying towards others i find offensive.

I don't think there's anything wrong with being nice. You can have an opinion, be honest and stick to your convictions whilst still being 'nice'.
They aren't mutually exclusive.
I try to not purposely upset anyone, and if I feel voicing my opinion in a certain way will upset someone, I'll adapt the way I convey it to suit my audience. Sometimes I just won't say it at all if I don't need to. I don't get any satisfaction from upsetting someone just so I can exercise my vocal chords.

Well she managed to lure three married men away from their wives - I guess she must have something.

From what I understand they've all been well to do - I think they were lacking the sense of smell though.

Well this thread has gone the same way as the other ones..

It was looking as if it had some promise. Half decent conversations.

But we are back to the she smells and she stole husbands take on everything.

Probably because she listed "stealing husbands" as her hobby on her c.v. when she was on The Apprentice.
