I agree that Fire is a very strong song judging by the snippet (the chorus is included, makes it easier to analyze). Apart from the melody, what sticks out as well is the great beat and piano and of her course the backing vocals done by Leona herself. There's definitely an anthem feel to the song. I guess there will be a part right before the last chorus, where all the instruments stop playing and only Leona's voice and the beat keep playing.

The only thing I am "slightly worried" (as a lover of vocals) about is that the album will be all about lyrics and emotions, and less about putting vocal twists on the songs. I hope she won't take a Adele-route in that sense.

It's unlikely. I am sure it will have more vocal variation than Adele. Even in the Fire snippet she uses 3 different tones.

I do think she will avoid showboating vocals for the sake of it, but I am confident that she will employ her full ability in the service of emotion. That's what she now does best for me. And what marks her out from some other praised vocalists who put in riffs and runs just to,show off.

it's true that Leona has always used her vocals to convey emotion. Although she does powerhouse vocals, she never oversings her songs in a over the top way.
Because of that I consider her the perfect duet partner because she never attempts to overshadow her singing partners.

Although Beyonce and Mariah had similiar album titles in the past, I don't think it matters that much or will affect anything. "I am" sums up very well what this album will be about, so it's a great title.

Maybe instead of a lyric video? Maybe to emphasise Leona's musicality. I'm guessing the launch will really focus on the fact that she is a genuine musician and not a Syco puppet. She had to downplay her long music development before the X Factor so much for the show's narrative that people in general have no idea that she is actually as musically credible as the likes of Adele.

That would be amazing. It's always great to see other musicians react to Leona's performances (the voice judges in this case). the voice would be the perfect place to perform a stomping song like fire under my feet.

OMGGGG I always wanted FUMF to be the lead single.

If the album is released in July, and there will be 2 singles before the album, the 1st single premiere has to be next week or the week after.
