Wow that looks really boring, even for 1980's standards. Its hard to believe that clip is even from the same show.

To make it better, to have that story feature in the trailer, it must have been the biggest most dramatic story of the episode (and probably the year)

"Mr. Wilks finds an Assistant for Amos" week

I actually remember Dolly getting into trouble at the end of an episode because a couple of hay bales fell off the back of the little vehicle she was using, 1981 I believe.

Dolly was such a trollop, Matt deserved far better.

A cliff hanger in the 70s was the smashing of Annie's teapot - proper kitchen sink drama!

if anyone has any classic cliffhangers or plotlines like that then please share with us.

If they had the Soap Awards in 1986 this would have swept up all the gongs :-

Mr Wilks is unable to hoover Amos's bedroom

Lovely gentle stuff in those days. Nothing like that atrocious Brookside, sexier Crossroads or that brutal EastEnders!
Hmmm - good job they did that re-vamp in 1994 eh??!

Oh God, that's hilarious but also kind of lovely.

Looks like a home movie from my family archive.
