The whole scene was awful, the pump would have been replaced in the fire, he would have pulled it many hundreds of times anyway. and he would not talk to a former landlady like that .

It was one of those situations where they were trying to be too cute and it just didn't come off...

It was a bit illogical and I don't think Mick would be rude to her, but I'm willing to overlook the silliness because the pay off was fun.

It was brilliant! It was EastEnders class IMO, and a brilliant scene between 2 great characters! Does every single little detail have to be absolutely ship shaped perfect?

It was a bit of fun and so did lots of others by the looks of it!

The only thing that was weird was the tap sticking, but never mind, who cares when there's so much drama going on?!

I liked what they were doing with it, and they got away with it IMO because it is the anniversary and it was a nod to Peggy's iconic line. If it had been done at any other time I probably would've thought it was silly.

It was a lovely scene that will be remembered!

It was slightly camp and it worked well. It wasn't awful at all...

Danny was smirking as he said it which made it seem like Mick was having an in-joke with Peggy! I know that was the whole point but he isn't meant to know her. Oh well it's only a fun scene and got a smile out of me anyway.

Danny's eyes even go boss-eyed as he delivers the lin. Awful.

I thought it was awful. It's not at all in keeping with Mick's character to be so rude and hostile like that nor would he ever say a line like that either.

This is what I mean about Danny Dyer's dire acting skills.

Like others have said the idea was great and is a fabulous light-hearted touch to what is set to be a dark dramatic week. However Danny did it all wrong, he played it too knowingly. I didn't feel like I was watching Mick meeting Peggy it felt like Dyer meeting Windsor. When he told Peggy to "get out of [his] pub" it should have sounded like Mick accidentally saying Peggy's catchphrase to make the audience smile instead it came across like a hammy panto mocking.

It really wasn't. If that was Eastenders class the show would have been off the air years ago.

It was the only thing that let the episode down for me. Terribly delivered, totally inaccurate and out of character.

I took it as Mick realising who she was and had heard about her 'get out of my pub' from Tracey or something.

He was probably supposed to, that part wasnt live. If the director didnt like how it was done it would have been repeated until done right.

They clearly meant for it to come across that weird way like they both knew what they were doing.

They tend not to go over short scenes like this and Babs wasn't there for long they couldn't spend time on such a take, besides few men are brave enough to defy Barbara Windsor and many have tried.
