Do you think the new villian will be the start of a new gangster empire storyline?

Possibly! That flower he left for Ronnie was chilling! EastEnders is more than a soap these days!

How will his character be linked to everybody. I'm intrigued already. Seems like a great actor too.

I can see Richard Blackwood's character being more than a match for Ronnie. I didn't find the flower chilling, I think he loves her. He's proper eye candy! Finally we get someone good looking on EE!

Im wondering if he's from her past when she was in ibiza. Wasn't there someone who really hurt her which made her made the person she was when she arrived.

He looked nothing like a top rank firm member. See Jack Dalton, Andy Hunter and Johnny Allen as examples. All smartly dressed.

Thats where they go wrong. In real life gangsters don't wear suits if they have no cover up job. Despite their money they blend into the seams of society

Real life top notch criminals don't go around wearing suits every day. Maybe if they're appearing in court but not all the time. They might wear expensive clothes at times but casual stuff not suits. I think Richard Blackwood looked fine.

Yes! I also believe she heard Roxy and Charlie talking about their one night stand. She'll more than likely end up with Richard Blackwood's character and they'll become a force to be reckoned with. They would make a striking couple.

EDIT I think Phil will finally be knocked off his perch. It has to happen!

This is what I thought! I thought it was her ex from Ibiza.

Or it could be a friend of Carl, who she killed?

Phil looked more irritated than concerned with his arrival so pretty sure he's just someone that had links to Ronnie.

Would be really surprised and disappointed if he was a link to the ~gangster nonsense we were subjected to in the past.

Let's hope he's an improvement on Derek Branning! He was terrible as a gangster wannabe with awful dress sense!

Oh great another poster who wants the soap to remain a boring family show with lots of love affairs (yawn)

A lot of top real life gangsters wear suits as well as casualmost of the time and not just for court too, you probably think your local gang of hoodies are gangsters lmao, not being funny but you do sound very ignorant.

Yes - that's exactly it, you know me so well. Not liking contrived, boring, nonsensical kid on hard-men bullying or acting like idiots is exactly the same as wanting the show to be boring and only being interested in affairs.

I think recently it's been shown pretty clearly that this real life 'boring family show' can actually be unmissable. No kid on gangsters required.

I'm glad Richard Blackwood has made his way back from the wilderness.
In the 90s (he one of the first prominent MTV VJs) it seemed as if he was destined to be the British Eddie Murphy, but it wasn't to be so.

Being in Eastenders could really be a great thing for him, if he does well with the character.

I'm genuinely excited for this character. Between the brief scenes in last night's episode and the comments from Blackwood in that interview on this site, I think Vincent has potential as a character.
