Amazon Prime removed 55 things in last 6 days

I got Prime from Christmas as it had different shows on compared to Netflix, but in the last 6 days they have removed 55 items (films/tv series) and only add 6. Whats going on? Anyone know why is it so unbalanced?

Sure. When you empty the fridge, do you do so at exactly the same time as you fill it up?

Does your salary arrive in your bank account the same day that all your bills are paid?

This is the reason. Amazon Prime would have it seems 66 items whose licenses expired in the last 6 days, but only 6 new licenses were added.

This will no doubt be different in the future, and possibly the other way around.

Of course, it seems a little unfair from our perspective, especially if those 66 items that disappeared were shows you were watching.

I notice the US version has 'Prime Music', where you can listen to music on your subscription as well as movies etc.

Wonder if they'll ever bring it to the UK?

Probably, but it could be several months, perhaps even a year, before they get round to it. The US site had the new design, years before the UK got it.

A poor analogy, Amazon are in business. Compare it to a retailer, they should ensure their shelves never get "unbalanced".

The reason that it's bad to allow display stock to thin out is that it's looks unprofessional.

I don't know the reason why Amazon allow it, but the usual reason is human beings not good enough for the job they are doing.

Interesting point. Well, I guess we should then, but we would have to compare it with a retailer that has a subscription package, where you pay say... £7 per month, and can walk into the store and take whatever you like and as much as you like.

So... which shop are we talking about?

Amazon used to display 15,000 titles, but now that has been renewed. If we compare Amazon to Netflix UK:

Added: 28
Removed: 27

I am not saying it should be completely balanced.... but maybe 66 removed 33 added....?
