thank God nobody was hurt, and that the set (which remember is only wood bolted onto metal poles) survived.
Stray firework - sounds suspicious!

Daily Mirror calling it a "huge" fire - what a load of old tosh!

I love how they still refer to it as Dr Legg's surgery!

I wonder if the Firework was part of the show. Maybe Ian has arranged a firework display for the reception and these scenes will be live and that they were rehearsing them last night . Could be the duff duff for Thursday.

Well Max didn't fluff and it wasn't a big fire and no one was hurt, so not really

I think it's been a brilliant week for EastEnders and we've only made it past one episode. Plenty of shocks to keep the audience satisfied. A very eerie atmosphere to keep us intrigued. DTC should be very proud of himself. Not too proud, mind. We all know what happens when you get over-confident (Bryan Kirkwood).

No, its not is it. Highest viewing figures for two years, most tweeted episode ever, positive reviews in the media and a climax to a massive storyline.

And Max didn't fluff a line, nor did a fire cause any issue, the BBC have confirmed that there is no effect on the celebrations this week and the fire brigade have confirmed the fire was contained, extinguished and nobody was hurt.

Atleast it was sorted quickly and no one was hurt. It's bad timing though and is hate to think what would have happened if it was a big fire.

Yes! Well said! Max didn't fluff his line and the fire was small and quickly contained and won't affect filming. No one was hurt which is the most important thing.

Maybe he found that box of Viagra he was taking about on the Graham Norton show and found out it was a bit out of date!

Who lives there?

They could have some firefighters in the background and someone make a comment.

That would have been embarrassing!

Luckily it hasn't affected the episodes.

That viagra would be well out of date because Shane said it was Cliff Parisi's idea that they take it and he's not been in the show for a long while.

Imagine being one of the firefighters.

"Where's the fire?"
"Albert Square."
"Course it is."

"Dude, I put of a fire on the EastEnders set, thus saving the entire week of celebrations. You might never have found out who killed Lucy Beale if it wasn't for me."
