This seems to be happening every time I record the last film of the day.

It starts recording correctly and then trundles on for over four hours.

As if someone had to manually press a'transmit end of programmes marker' button but knocked off early.

I get this sort of thing randomly - though one radio programme caused it every time!

Whats your PVR? Mine is a Manhattan Plaza HDR-S

Humax Foxsat.

I'm pretty sure it's F4, rather than the local hardware.

Try setting a manual recording with some built in padding.

Good point, thanks.

F4 virtually always show things at the time they say they will (within a couple of minutes) so manual should work perfectly well for the odd 'end of the day' recording.

Odd that they should repeatedly cock it up in this way, though.

Rather like C4 always chop the last minute off Grand Designs.

And one of the channels that inserts a short news break always started (not sure if the still do) the second part around a minute late.

Thats what I have to do with The Avengers on True Entertainment (or Drama I forget), when using the EPG the first minute or two was always chopped.
