It was the second cringe bag of a scene from these episodes and both have starred Dyer. It was so random. How on earth did he mistake Tanya for Linda? Why would Linda be randomly sitting in a cafe chatting to Max, perhaps one of the few characters Linda has ever spoken to in her time on the show?

That was a very weird scene. Was it live?

Yes it was.

He called her "L". He thought she was Linda!

Is it just me who thinks it was an intentional joke, a knowing reference calling back to Jo Joyner's slip up last night? Easily scripted and slotted in tonight. Or am I losing the plot?!

I can't imagine that was scripted. There must have been some improv there, because I just don't understand the point of the scenes, or how he could have mistaken her for LInda.

Yes, and it's the only live scene Danny Dyer has done so far (with lines).

Maybe it was a deliberate thing from him? Maybe his matez co-erced him?

It was a very random moment and I didn't see the point of it. Perhaps Danny Dyer wanted to get in on the live action.

Yeah and then he ruthlessly tried to kill Matt Di Angelo and the actress that played Nancy bravely had to get him off and then in confusion she called him "dad".

How dare Danny Dyer try to kill a fellow actor. Maybe his pals dared him

I thought it was a bit stupid really. Even from the back you could tell that wasn't Linda. Linda is a lot thinner than Tanya.

So you think he randomly walked on set? That for you is the most likely outcome? You see a character do something in character on a TV show with other characters, with every move picked up by a designated camera with a scripted response from the other characters in the scene and you think: "well this can't be planned"

Maybe every scene has a designated 'Danny cam' in case he decides to randomly come in and sniff one of the actor's hair.

It was utterly nonsensical. It wouldn't have made the cut normally.

As said earlier on it was probably a jokey mistaken identity thing due to Jo saying Adam rather than Ian last night. Probably everyone got it, except here where it's 'VILE HOOLIGAN INTERRUPTS A SCENE THEN SNIFFS HAIR WHICH IS 10000 TIMES WORSE THAT RAPE IF YOU ASK ME!!!'

I'm sorry but that moment was just... weird! What the Hell was it about? Or was it Dire just being a T!t?!

I thought it was an hilarious moment inbetween all the serious stuff.

It's how Mick is with Linda. If he thought it was Linda that's what he'd do. Not jab her in the back

"Oi, is that you?"

A light hearted moment in soap probably to poke fun at what happened last night without going off script or being too obvious about it. I wonder about people sometimes.

But didn't he wonder about the strangeness of Linda sitting down in a dimly lit cafe with Max?

How about try not getting so worked up over it?
