Is it a little nod to Corrie and how they celebrated their anniversary? I kind of feel like its a little joke they are playing

I just think all the train scenes must be a nod to corrie and their tram crash. I know i think of it each time i see the train and it doesn't seem to be serving a purpose otherwise.

The train sound has been around since it started

I don't mean the train sound, i mean actually seeing the train going across the bridge at night and for no apparent reason, which they keep doing in this anniversary week, you never see it any other time

It's been shown various times in the past.

Did anyone else notice how poor the cgi spark effects were though? It looks like a poorly keyed on firework sparkler.

The train was first shown in the early 90s, it became a regular occurrence in 2010 and has appeared a few times a year ever since.

The making of the EastEnders train:

If anything Corrie adding the tram sounds and visuals is a nod to what EastEnders has done since it started.

I believe the train was first shown at Lou Beale's funeral.

It must be audible in Ian's restaurant everytime it goes overhead.

It was also shown in Lucy's last scene when she walked down Bridge Street on Good Friday.

First time the tube was ever shown, Lou Beale's funeral.

Appears at 3:33 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMxsOpKmG7w

There was also the storyline in 2007 where Martin kidnapped Ben and held him hostage on the railway bridge, some awful CGI Northern Line tube trains were used.

The train has been shown for years. The first time was at Lou Beale's funeral. I read somewhere that it was a bit of a nightmare to do, but they wanted to do it as a tribute to the character.
